Knowing...did you see it? What did you think of it?
Comments (2)Just saw this recently. I liked the mystery and intrigue, and was even willing to forgive the incredible coincidences and ease with which Nicholas Cage was able to solve it, until... ***********SPOILERS************** Until it turned out the whole thing was about aliens and the earth ending. Ugh. I just have no patience for what this particular formula in movies. Even putting that aside for a minute, the idea that these aliens knew about the end of the earth years ahead, and that their course of action was to just let it happen and save two and only two children is abhorent to me. Why not save lots of children? Why these two in particular? Why only children? Why not give earth real advance warning instead of a cryptic note seen by three people a week before the end? My theory on this movie was that a couple of art directors/set designers/special effects guys were sitting around one night, sipping some wine, and wondering how they could get nominated for an oscar. The conversation goes something like this: - You know what always wins? - what? - Aliens with cool looking spaceships - yeah! Let's do one of those! Result: Knowing...See MoreSurvivor! this will probably be a spoiler! beware!
Comments (16)I liked Penner also, but he cut his own throat. Lisa is getting very trying. Enough with the "I just think this game is bigger than me, and I don't know if I can learn all of it in 39 days", yada, yada, yada. Remember, she's an actress also. I. Can. Not. Stand. Abi. Selfish, cold hearted, nasty little b!tch. Then when someone comes back at her, it's I don't understand, cultural barrier. She's just stunned that all the guys aren't falling all over her. Although, Malcolm is going to get sucked in I fear. He already feels sorry for her. He's getting smacked with booty blindness. (Which was his term at the beginning of this season). I think with all the drama with Lisa, Abi, Malcolm and Denise, Carter just might slip on by everyone and win. I don't think I care for Skupin to win. Definitely don't want Abi to win. Really don't want Lisa to win. It's down to Denise, Malcolm and Carter. I wasn't surprised Jeff didn't out Abi. Remember the season with Johnny Fairplay? He said his grandmother died! Jeff called home to offer sympathies and was told she wasn't dead. He never gave Johnny up on it either. And he shouldn't. He shouldn't do anything at all to change or steer the game. I want to know why someone hasn't stolen the damn idol yet. Unless it's hidden, I would absolutely get in their stuff and take that puppy first change I got. lol...See MoreSurvivor....not a spoiler...but about tonights show
Comments (25)The Eguardo blindside is still my favorite blindside of all time. I actually think it was a good strategy on Bob's part. He maintained his alliance with Randy by voting for Suzie, but he bought himself some time with the other alliance. He was third man out with Corrine and Randy. Randy and Corrine became complacent when Randy was given the 'idol'. He and Corrine could have been using that extra time to work out a deal with someone in the other alliance for what happens after the last night's tribal council. Now that the onions are down to two, it'd be smart for some on the other alliance to think about flipping some of the onions to better position themselves for the final three. There are several parts to Randy's outing that made it funny - Sugar's rant - Crystal's rant - The onion's laughing at council because they thought they had pulled one over - the other alliance laughing because they knew what was actually happening - and the jury sitting there laughing. I don't know how Jeff probst kept a straight face. He had to be excited about all of the drama. I don't think Charlie and Marcus liked Randy all that much because they laughed at the 'idol' too. I can image afterwards they were like "Oh carp, he's coming back with us."...See MoreWho else watches Game of Thrones?
Comments (13)I've watched from the beginning and thoroughly enjoy the series, even tho I have been known to watch through hands in front of my face during certain scenes. I just read somewhere that the actress who portrays Brienne of Tarth, when speaking of the up coming season - "be prepared to need therapy". Gulp. I know in the books her character died long time ago (no, didn't read the books but sometimes I get curious and visit the GOT discussion groups). She is one of my favorites. Actually I did try to read the first book in the series years ago, before I even knew it was GOT. I only made it five or six chapters before I got totally lost....See More- 7 years ago
