Beach Condo - Window Treatment Dilemma

I have beach condo in Delaware that has wall-to-wall windows (northeast exposure) with a sliding door in the middle. I'd like wall-to-wall curtains - 170" width and 120" length (or I could go higher but would need to be custom). Here is the dilemma - when we are there in the summer months, I leave the curtains opened to both sides and would prefer something light and beach-y. But in the winter months I need to keep the curtains closed for insulation. Ideally, I should have thermal insulation but hate having that heaviness during the summer months.

I love these Mecca curtains which I think would go well with the sofa and new paint color (SW Sea Salt) but not sure how much insulation I will get with the lining. https://www.houzz.com/products/mecca-printed-cotton-curtain-single-panel-50x120-prvw-vr~84062659

I could go with off white (which was my original choice until I saw the Mecca curtains). I saw this velvet which would have great insulation but may be too heavy (https://www.houzz.com/products/signature-off-white-doublewide-blackout-velvet-curtain-single-panel-100x120-prvw-vr~84069331). Could I get away with it because it is off white and would be drawn to the sides?

Any ideas or suggestions? I don't have great pictures to share as I am remodeling but the sofa is blue ticking and walls recently painted SW Sea Salt. (Ignore the old curtains - yuk! - which are being replaced.)

I've included pictures of other units that have the same windows as mine until I can get better pictures of my own.

Thanks! Maryann
