Comments (14)you could use slipcovers over the chairs if that's a look you like or recover the seats to give it a different look & vibe. I think part of the problem could be trying to use it as a set. Could you use the buffet and hutch in a guest room or a bathroom or entry/hall to store items? Maybe figure out which pieces would give you the max use and keep those and get rid of the others. I've had a few items for several years that were my grandmother's. They've been moved around between rooms and used for different purposes over the past 15 years or so. I am just now about to get rid of 1-2 pieces and keeping the other 2 that I love more. But they have served me well over the years....See MoreWhat to do with dining room window? Double hung? Bay? Box bay?

How do the pros and cons of bow windows compare to bay windows? Pros of bow windows Receive views from two sides of the home Allow more light into the home due to having more panes Provides uninterrupted panoramic views via a narrow exterior profile Cons of bow windows More expensive than bay windows, as bow windows contain at least four panes More complex installation than bay windows...See MoreHelp! Comments (21)Not seeing a dark room so we need more information. Natural light is really not a feature in any dinning room as they are mostly used evenings . My guess is once the sun goes down all those windows become black holes. You need to put beautiful window dressings as a top priority. Yes to more cans in the ceiling as well as a beautiful chandy over the table. Are you actually saying you don't want dark wood furniture? Seems like chrome and glass is an abundant choice these days....See MoreRichard P.
