I am annoyed that my camera doesn't really show the true color of these treasures. They are just perfect! I will admit it makes me more excited to explore air fryer cooking. Yay!

Ha ha ha. Amylou, I just love your enthusiasm. I did get an air fryer about a year ago. Mine is a boring black, nothing to get excited about. Used it maybe 3 times.

Well, that's the thing: I really don't know how often I will use it, but even if its minimally, at least it's pretty and matches everything else! I know the toaster oven will get used to death....

I just cant bear to have some tasteful little gray thing on my counters....

Glad you like your new appliances, amylou ... and it not be like pulling teeth to bring the project to completion.

If hubs is so enthusiastic ... and friend so, and knowledgeable ... maybe he could be enticed (1) to participate in ... a smidgeon of the operation of this portion of the house ... and he could receive an obvious reward - over a short term!

Joyful, he knows that it annoys me when anyone else tries to cook in my kitchen! He makes his coffee, then high tails it out of there! He doesn't even know where the pots and pans are! That's just how I like it.

Plus, I love to cook and I do love a gadget. I extra love a pink one! I appreciate that he appears to want to eat healthier,as he does tend to want deep fried stuff a lot of the time. But I still think that whatever the air fryer can do, the regular oven can do....

I'll have to look up some recipes.

I was very tempted to try the Air Fryer. I will be waiting to see how you like it. And it fits in so well, how could you not?? Very cute!!

Well, my air fryer is a plain ol' black, I got it last Black Friday, from Walmart online. And I love it! I use it almost every day. It has replaced both my toaster and my toaster oven. as it will do everything either of those appliances did, and more. AND! It can almost replace my regular oven. I live in south Texas, where the weather gets hot, REALLY hot. And I am very conscientious about things like how much electricity I use and how much heat appliances generate. After all, I do live on a fixed income, and I do have to be able to pay the electric bill if I want to keep the electricity. and therefore, the AC on.

I use mine for toast, chicken quarters, wings, french fries, roasted vegetables, frozen meals, (not the microwave kind), etc.

There is a bit of a learning curve to using it, but nothing very drastic.

Anyhow, congratulations on your new 'toy'! She is definitely lovely! And I hope you find her as useful as I find mine!

ETA: I've done an individual sized pizza in it, also. Could do 2 of them but there is only me here, and one is enough for me! :^)

Mine is 2 yrs old now. It is red. A week rarely goes by that it isn't used. I love it for fish. Clean up is a breeze. It doesn't heat up the kitchen. It's one of the best gifts I've given myself. That DH enjoys the food and requests dinners that come, specifically, from the air fryer is just a bonus.

Mine is black. That pink assortment is adorable. I like mine. I have cooked very good pork chops and potatoes and bacon and many other things in it. Yes a huge benefit is it does not add extra heat in the kitchen! A good thing here in Houston in the summer. Good luck and check out pinterest for recipes!

I don’t have an air fryer myself but from what I understand, it’s just convection cooking, so I’m with you and don’t really see what the difference is between using one of these and a convection oven. What are we missing? Some ‘air’ process?

I don't know OutsidePlaying but I really dont need much of a reason or prodding to buy something new for the kitchen. Especially when its pink! Maybe it just doesn't heat the kitchen as much as the real oven, which would be a plus here in hot humid Alabama! I plan to try it out tommorow on my first day off. I have some pork chops in the freezer and some baby potatoes and broccoli. I think I'll try that first. Searching for recipes...looks like I'll have to get some sort of sprayer for oil....I wonder if they make those in pink.....;)

I have no desire for an air fryer... or an instant pot. I have no qualms at all about eating fried food. If I want something fried, I fry it. Pictures I have seen of fried chicken in an air fryer, leave a lot to be desired....but I don't have to watch what I eat. So I will just go ahead and fry chicken or whatever.

But I do love your pink appliances and hope you enjoy using them.

Look for an oil mister not a sprayer.

I have a built in convection in my regular oven. Never even used it the first 5 years, we did not order it, just bought floor model in the store. Actually did not know what it even was. Now I love it. So no need for a separate counter top one. And of course far bigger. Have fun with it, I know lots of people who love Thiers.

Friends who have tried the air fryer love it for sweet potato fries and chicken tenders, things like that where you can keep down the breading and just use oil.

Amylou, I have a Williams Sonoma Oil sprayer. The trick is to release the pressure by twisting the screw off lid a bit after you use it. Lasts much longer.

I love my AF and IP. I use both together for meatloaf and dressing. works great! I haven't used my toaster in over 2 yrs and my oven once or twice a year. it is so big for 1 person. Last fall I got an AF oven and so far love that but haven't even used the basket to it yet. I just toss what I want to cook, toast or heat up on the tray and turn it on. A few yrs back I made a great steak in the AF. I've cooked chicken in it and the green bean casserole (half the recipe) in a pot that fits in the basket (or on the rack of AFO).

A PINK air fryer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whoah. I didn't know they came in pink! :0) So fun!

Pork chops for both of us,parmesan garlic broccoli for me,and potatoes,cabbage,and cheese muffins for him.

It's better than I thought it would be! The only downside is having to cook in batches. But SO loved the food! Yay!
