No, all pictures are from my apartment website (model apartment ) . I placed my furniture in the same pattern . The only difference is i have love seat recliner in place of chair and 60 inch TV in place of 40 inch as shown in the pictures.

To groveraxle: When I said.." there is no other place for piano.." I mean that in our apartment, we don't have any other place to move piano ( den or bedrooms). Only place it is living room. And yes, I will definitely move piano to the other wall, next to the book shelf. See, I have more plans to update the room. I want pain wall some different color, want to strip popcorn ceiling, the bookshelf I want to re make it with more lighter material and not as deep as present and may be add glass doors. Also not sure about carper on the floor, should change it to wood floor? It all project for later but I want to see whole picture for the room and I find it really hard Thanks again for helping =)

A 3-seat sofa, coffee table and two armchairs in a "U" at the fireplace end. Art above the mantel, console tables with lamps flanking the FP. A drop leaf game table behind the sofa with straight chairs that match your dining set in the adjoining room. It can be expanded for additional dining or larger groups of gamers. Piano where benjesbride shows it with a couple of chairs angled either side of a round table and lamp in front of the window opposite. Window treatments, area rugs to ground both ends of the room. You can go larger than this one, but just for concept as a sofa table/game table.

I have the same situation in a small house and I put my very large desk under the window. It works very well for me. Switch the seating tv area to the front of the room. The sofa can stay as is with a lot of large down filled throw pillows or the sofa that you posted. Delineate the space with a rug as large as possible. Keep the cabinets at the tv and around the seating low (to the back height of the sofa maximum). At the desk area flank the desk on either side with tall billy bookcases with top extensions - as tall as possible. Also add doors to hide the storage items. If you feel you need a physical separation, install sheer white curtains very full, from the ceiling to the floor. It will add privacy and filter in light. This plan will eliminate people from passing your workspace and containing the living space. Here's a plan and some inspiration pics. The line behind the lounge chair is the sheer curtain ceiling to floor. It can be any divider, but not that open shelf you have. The trick with open dual purpose rooms is to keep it simple and hide the clutter while making the spaces functional. You can use the open shelving you have on the right of the chaise (next to the door). TV Wall - Hang a cabinet off the wall to visually create an open space. This pic shows seating at front and work area at window. (I love the light fixture!) Full white sheer curtain panels are one of my favorite design tricks.
