thanks for a quick reply, im in New Zealand, it's our first month of summer here and was thinking about making the new cutting now to get the benefit of the summer for the new cuts, thoughts on doing it in summer or waiting until next spring? Interesting mention about sun exposure, looking for spots around the house to keep these new cactis around, i have a spot that get's early morning sun and stays there until late evening sun, another spot that get's direct sunlight only 12pm up to 6pm. And another spot that's got heavy growth that has filter light pretty much all day long with short instances of direct sunlight. Hard to find day/night cycles if you can shead any 'light' on these questions would be legend. Thanks in advance and for your help previously.

Hi Angela, Post another pick when it grows a bit. many succulents don't show their characteristics until they are several months old. Crassula picturata is my wild guess though!

i meant the house.. lol ... she would have to pay me the $15 to dig that monstrosity out of there .. lol ... look at the shutter .. and see a sprout that grew 8 to 12 inches ... probably since it was sheared in spring.. meaning it has an aggressive annual growth rate ... and then see she has sheared the beegeebees out of it for a decade.. to make that pom pom of a shrub ...[not to mention she planted a big growing plant too close to the house] .... it may need some interior pruning to make it stronger ... over the years ... snow load and all.... if you want to grow it larger ... if you already got it.. brilliant.. lol .. where else can you get a plant that size for $15 bucks..and some exercise .... ken
