Has anyone used Jerusalem tile (limestone) on their backsplash?
Comments (12)I have Jerusalem Gold 4 x 4s done in September 2006. I love my kitchen but i've been thinking the wide grout lines and 4x4s make it a little dated. The designer and the tile guy worked out the grout lines. Maybe because mine is tumbled they needed to be this wide. It's mixed with Red Limestone 2x2s and bronze glass tile 1x1s. I didn't seal it or enhance it since I liked it the way it is. Here is a link that might be useful: finished kitchen blog sue_b...See MoreAnyone use these MOP tiles for backsplash?
Comments (4)Daltile has something similar and they are way pricey. I was thinking of using them as inserts in my backsplash until I was told (by Daltile) that they are too fragile to be used near any heat source (by cooktop). Comments (6)I used 12 x 12 tiles on the diagonal on my backsplash. Sorry my pix are not up right now. If you email me through gardenweb I can send you a picture. The 12 x 12 on the diagonal takes up 17 inches. The other inch is taken up by plugmold I have installed at the top of the backsplash....See MoreAnyone ever used limestone tile for backsplash?
Comments (4)Hi. I was hoping someone would have shared some limestone backsplashes by now because all I have is a limestone bathroom (limestone cave). It's A LOT of limestone. It's my daughter's bathroom but the tile installer designed/pressured me into it when I was having a I-can't-pick-tile meltdown.... It's in tumbled limestone in the lighter/creamy shade: The lighting is terrible in every shot I have.....it's making the grout look gray but it's actually alabaster in person. Hope this helps!...See Moredamiarain
