Help Identify this tomato?
Comments (11)Hm that does sound like a good guess, I feel like my plant is extradinarily small (4 inches at most) and the sweet n neat seem to be around a foot tall with the tomatos being much bigger than the ones I'm getting from this little guy. Maybe he will stay a mystery for forever, I am trying to grow the seeds I got from one his tomatoes so maybe that will grow to full height? Hm so many possibilities!! Thanks everyone!...See MoreHelp identifying my tomato pest

Comments (10)I get a lot of lumpy, stitched ones too, digdirt, but no where near the ratio of fuglies on an internet search. I think the reason is because when they are catface-alien looking people automatically label them as fused-blossom products, but when they are large and more symmetrical fused-blossoms frequently they are not recognized as coming from fused-blossoms. I thought I was growing a Bradley tomato now but it may be a tag mix up with Orange Russian 117. The one with the Orange Russian label seems too late season so I'll see if it is a labeling swap in a bit. Stand by soon to see a picture of the large double heart that was early from this plant labeled "Bradley" (Bradley was beside OR117, under my lights to add to suspicion) ... it melted my heart just to look at it ;-) It blushed the day before yesterday and it is a fused-blossom heart which promises to be quite attractive. I'd put my ratio at 50/50 ... vs. a random internet google on aesthetics since posted pictures segregate when folks usually relate the trait to ugliness which is definitely not always the case in my experience. Temperatures are warmer here and that may make mileage especially vary. PC...See MoreCan Anyone Identify this Tomato variety?
Comments (4)I really wish it was possible to do - ID a tomato from a picture - because we get so many requests to do it. Unfortunately it isn't. There are simply too many possibilities. Many folks just don't realize the number of tomato varieties there are out there. Best guess is that it was a stray seed. Or that is a KBX2, a KBX that was crossed since it doesn't appear to be pure potato-leaf and has green shoulders. But KBX was a throwback anyway so throwbacks of it are likely. Otherwise there are lots of red/orange with green shoulder varieties. Save seeds if you wish and see what happens next year with those seeds. If it remains stable then you can name it whatever you wish. :) Dave...See Moreparty_music50
