My lap full of grandpets. The one on the left is a rescue. The little one bosses him around and he lets her. He is a sweetheart.

Lucky for them and me, I don't have any pets. They would have to spend way to much time by themselves... as I go gallivanting around the world to much, and I have extreme allergy problems when around pets.

We have five rescues.

Murray was a rescue.

Fred came to live with me after my sister died, so I guess he's a rescue too.

Rocket the cat was a rescue. He sure loved Fred. :)

We no longer have pets, but these are few who shared our lives in the past:

Our last dog was a rescue - she loved to chase and fetch the kong that is in the background. Wherever our sweet girl was, the kong was nearby:

The two on the left were brother and sister and the one on the right was their mother who was rescued off the streets on the verge of starvation. This was back in the day before people realized that letting their dogs have puppies wasn't a good idea, but I wouldn't have traded those two for anything. After the litter that included these two, all of them and all future dogs were spayed/neutered as soon as they were old enough.

If you look closely, you can see the tennis ball in his mouth. He made a giant leap and grabbed it before the other dogs could get to it. Always the athlete, he was also always competitive.

This one was a rescue - she always had a mischievous streak - you can see it in the tilt of her ears and the gleam in her eyes. She also had webbed feet (you can see how long her toes were in this photo). When she walked on top of snow, she never sunk through. We used to say she had snowshoes for paws.

Nigel looking worried a few days ago. He is a lot better than our local weather people predicting rain or thunderstorms.

I did kiss Val, one of my horses. He is a rescue....his before pic, I am sure I have showed before.

The transformation is just stunning, Marilyn. It's hard to believe that Emery is the same horse. Thanks to your efforts, all of them look wonderfully happy and healthy.
