Stumped on light fixtures

Howdy folks. We have been in our newish build for about three years and picking out light fixtures sends us into a spin! We’ve fallen in and out of love with so many different options and have cold feet when it comes to choosing.. especially for these three spot. It’s super open concept so each of these spots is visible to the other. I’ve considered glass... iron .. brass.. chrome.. I’m open to anything here folks! I’ve mostly been Looking at some kichler and visual comfort .. please send some suggestions! . Our vibe isn’t overly formal but not ‘super farmhouse’ .. pretty casual-modern-traditional ♀️ ..looking for one (pendant probably .. or linear for over the island where the black novelty bulb is from Halloween..one for the breakfast nook where eventually we will put a larger table.. and one for the front foyer. Ceilings are 12’. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance!

Hi Jenna! We would love to work on some custom fixtures for you. Over the counter would be great to do a suspended on a rod fixture with two or three globes. Those globes should translate/ compliment the fixture over the table. For the entry way, you could do just about anything. Do you have any furniture there? Please find some images below of previous spaces we've worked on with multiple fixtures in one space.

Would cove lighting by itself be enough to adequately light the whole room? Most places I've seen cove lighting had some other source of light like cans or pendants to help out. Current thought is to use 2 or three of these shallow drum pendants. Here is a link that might be useful: drum pendant

I spent the evening pondering the canned light idea and have nixed it. Both Chibimimi and Aimeekm's responses pretty much echo my thoughts because the stairwell is seen from the entry and the living room and when coming down, it would be nice to have something pretty there, so thank you. Smalloldhouse!. Thank you for the pics!. I love it and I'm surprised the larger sized one fits so perfectly! I had a room painted with a very very light apricot once. In some lighting it looked off white but in sunlight, it glowed and I love love loved it! I love the picture wall too :c)

Is this helpful? Noted on the fabric. That’s an interesting point I hadn’t thought about. Thanks. Other option is to just remove the fan and patch up the ceiling. There’s a ton of high hat lighting anyway. I just thought it would be cool. There won’t be a hood for the cooktop. It has a pop up thingy for this reason—These ceilings are over 12 feet high, plus the skylight is an obstruction to even constructing that. a hood over this cooktop would awkwardly divide the space, I think. I just don’t want a fixture w visible candlestick lights. Hate them. Just do. There’s got to be another way. Because these ceilings are so high another challenge is anything glass is going to collect a ton of dust and I don’t want to be on a high ladder dusting all the time.
