I remember her too. She was quite active on this forum. God rest her soul. It's interesting, Vee, that thoughts of her came to you right at the time of her death. Perhaps she was bidding you adieu.

Oh that is sad. I remember her very well. For a number of years, we were in touch and I was aware that she was having health issues. I believe she was living in California the last time we were in touch.

I thought I remembered her living in Texas, but the obituary only mentions California.

I know Pat from another forum as well, and she was dealing with both cancer and vision problems aggravated by the cancer for the last few years. She was a lively and interesting poster, and I miss her very much. If no one minds, I can send your lovely comments to her family, I'm sure they will appreciate them.

BTW, she's lived in California as long as I've been posting here, although IIRC she did move around a bit after first moving to this country, many years ago.

Oh, I am sorry about Pat! We spoke once upon a time of getting together for a used book store crawl, but by the time we got around to doing it, she told me that her health was no longer up to it. She planned get back in touch if she felt better. That was at least a couple of years ago.

Vee - I've got Pat's address, but thank you! I agree that losing her second daughter must have added to her burdens. I had forgotten until I read the obituary, since she had pretty much stopped posting on the message boards by then. I will send our comments to the family tomorrow, so if anyone else would like to chime in, please do so in the next 24 hrs.

Please tell them that we remember her fondly, and are sorry to learn of her passing.

I'm so sorry to hear this, I remember Sherwood, as well. Vee, thank you for posting this. I often wonder what has happened to posters who were regulars here and then vanished.

When I saw the title of this thread, I dreaded opening it -- thinking it was probably sad news. Indeed it is. I recall many discussions in which Pat contributed and I have missed her in recent years. I will continue to remember her with fondness. My condolences to her family and friends.
