3' granite backsplash needed if plan to tile backsplash kitchen?
Comments (5)With a granite backsplash, you'll still have a seam so it defeats the purpose stated by that granite guy. Only time I see tile over a 3" granite backsplash is when they are done at different times (change in homeowners or you decide to add tile in the future). Most people getting new counters will just tile from the counter up....See Moreneed backsplash ideas for open kitchen/ cinnamon cabinets/beige quartz
Comments (39)Thanks mayflowers. I am sure people are tired of looking at my kitchen at this point, but this is such a hard decision, because it is so permanent! The two ideas I am now considering are: (1) your idea of cream tile matching the wall color (though I cannot really find one that truly comes close to the wall color) and (2) still considering a sage green tile, but I feel like that may take away from my green shelves. I am considering square, rectangular sizes/ different layouts of tiles at this point at this point. as for area, I am just considering doing the area under the wall from the cabinet to the left of the stove to under the microwave. May or may not run it up in the corner to the first green shelf. I am also going to leave the area in the third picture without a backsplash (the pic with the glass cabinets)....See MoreNeed some ideas on backsplash and wall color for our kitchen

Comments (2)I'd go for a glass tile in a light grey. Glass will help bounce light around more to help the kitchen feel bigger and the grey will tie in with the floors. I'll just add that you may want to swap the fridge for a counter depth one because that's a small kitchen and that current one is DOMINATING the room....See MoreKate E
