Off centre fireplace in double living room
Comments (26)Loving the alcove ideas. SOOO much better!! This is where chairs with a swivel come in handy. We found they can be added to many chair designs. To orientate your room to the fireplace may look best--is it really how the room is used MOST often? I gave up long ago pretending the TV wasn't the main use for our living room....See MoreWhat to do with an off centre wall bump-out
Comments (8)A tension rod like this one should fit between the 2 cabinets. Most home decorating fabric is 54" wide and to me it looks as if your bed is a double which is 54" wide. So one width of the fabric is perfect if it is something like a drapery fabric and you do it like the striped example I showed above. If you don't sew, you can buy iron-down tape to turn the edges under, and to make the pocket for the top. Or even just cut off the edges even with the pattern, and use pins or staples to make the pocket. Especially if you use a patterned fabric, the focus will be on the pattern and not the details. Easy peasy, inexpensive and no holes in the walls....See MoreHelp!! I need inspiration for an off centered TV
Comments (1)I like the shelves. Will you have a sectional too? I can't see the whole room, but could you do a couch and two small chairs instead of the sectional? And if your TV will be bigger you may not have to move it over much for it to be centered on the wall if that's what you wanted....See MoreHelp needed for off centred window in living room.

Just pull it toward the right (as I am looking at your picture, pull it right at least a foot) and maybe forward a bit towards the rug too. As is, the recliner looks as though it’s trying to squeeze itself into the corner....See Morehouseofjy
