No knowledgeable person could make his way thru the stuff. Yes, I do have some antiques, nothing like some of the things you see on the Antique Road show where the person finds out the $2 garage sale item is worth $200,000. And the photos, whether I scan them or put them in photo albums they still all have to be gone thru. And the senior center doesn't need anymore quilting frames. I am going to check into the freecycle thing. DH has said he will get involved and go thru his stuff. The goal is to take a bag/box a week our. I am way ahead of him on my stuff.

I removed the cord cover and it looks much better. I will try to see if a medallion work... If not, then I will do stencil in the center. I'm planning to put crown moulding in this room, eventually, just not right now since I have so many things going on. I'm sure if I can find an equally fabulous chandelier (but larger) she would not mind changing it out. The difficult thing is to find such chandelier! We went to Expo 3-4 months ago and everything I like, she would say, "wow, that's beautiful -- you should put it in YOUR room mom." :-) I need to add that this is one particular girl. She chose everything in her room (bedding, fabric for draperies). She chooses all her clothing, shoes, etc. She can be very exasperating at times. I wish I could put her bed between the 2 units. That way I can have a fantastic bed crown w/ sheer panels. However this arrangement does give her a lot of more room in the middle where she can spread her things out & play on the floor. I will give this a try later this week and see what she thinks. DH is a very doting dad---he thinks it's her room, let her have her way. Of course it's tough for me because I want to see everything to be perfect. :-) thanks again for all the input.

Great Job. I first read a bit of the story (yea, way too long... psych!) and just opened the link and I went "where is the mosaic?" Then I went back to the story and tried to figure out what you did. And then back to the picture. Very good job. I wish there was a BEFORE pic with the lamp. :)

Some or all the above for me, too. I really like color and design over the others but they count, too. Sometimes the design isn't that special but the fabrics are. I have a couple of scrappy quilts that I can't stop gazing at whenever I walk past because each little scrap stays in my memory of what the original quilt was that the fabric was bought for. I made a quilt last year from Missouri Star Quilt tutorials that I gave to DH and I keep telling him I'm going to take it back because I love it so much - called "Pecking Order". This one I'm working on right now I think is going to be one of those special quilts, color, design and quilting design. And I especially love Log Cabin quilts because they are so easy to make.
