Need help & ideas with table for kitchen nook!
Comments (3)you could do something with the 78 in dimension/but the 60 in dimension is really limiting. Without knowing more,I'd be inclined to take a wall and attach an 18-22 in deep counter and get some comfortable/attractive stools. You would have the space on unused wall for storage needs /depending on windows [or not] and type of storage you feel you need....See MoreHigh End Reno of Tiny Kitchen - Impossible Task??
Comments (15)UPDATE: We went to Home Depot and the kitchen designer was able to put together a plan for an upside down L shape kitchen with the peninsular. I think we will also look at doing an upside down U shape kitchen with the stove in the same place with windows on each side, lowers only to the left and the sink, dishwasher and 30' fridge on the right wall, covering at least one of the side wall windows. This would leave us no peninsular, but there is actually a peninsular alread on the other side of the dining room. I know that sounds really strange, so here's a pic. That wall is structural, so we may as well leave it. It might look odd to have two peninsulars in a row in such a small house? Here's a pic so you can see what I mean. We're trying to remove blockages in the house, so the book shelf you can see is coming out, and the wall we are trying to get rid of is the one with the painting on it. I hope this makes some sense to someone with vision! I wish I knew how to use the tools to map it out for you all online....See MoreNeed Advice on Luxury Kitchen and Breakfast Nook Remodel Design
Comments (301)So after following along and reading and reading all the good advice and then OP's responses I did myself wonder a couple times (with a few head slaps really????) - are you reading AND THINKING about the advice posted or just posting more "I am totally out of control help me right now" questions that seemed to not take into consideration any of the advice. It was more I have to have 10', I have to have it large, I have to have it.....HELP regardless of the solutions posted. I kind of started to wonder if you are a college student in design school trying to get someone to draw up a kicking design for your homework assignment and it was the 11th hour. But I am no design expert just a learner myself. If nothing else there are some good designs in this thread with lots of elements that many would enjoy (well maybe not the topiary IN the kitchen). Oh wait a minute - THE TOPIARY IS THE SHRINE! You are all set!...See MoreHow would you design pantry task lighting with industrial shelf design
Comments (2)If you are concerned about heat, LED doesn't even compare in any way whatsoever to the kind of heat you will get from halogen bulbs. Stay away from halogen if you want a cool room and plan to have lights on a lot. The LED strip lights are popular, but given your description, may not provide as robust a lighting layout as you are seeming to need here. If you are wanting lighting to mount underneath the shelving, you can check into the options from Task Lighting by Hardware Resources, made in the USA and affordably priced if you order from a dealer (always lower than MSRP): https://www.hardwareresources.com/tasklighting There is such a thing as a "lighting designer" that might be of help to you in a situation like this. You might want to check the resources for this in your area since you have unlimited options for what you can do....See Moreinlovewithjhk
