wall mounted plant holder?
Comments (9)I myself looked for ages for the half bowls fr walls and could not find anyone to fit my indoor need. So I ended up making myself three just similar to wolly pockets...I used felter from jo ann stores, and a protective liner of plastic just in the side that goes against the wall and the bottom to protect from when you water. it has been 7 months and my variety of plants have been thriving and looking great on them. The secret is that because the felter, there is so much aeration that the soil dryes pretty fast. So you need once and a while take them from the wall to inside your sink and water throughly, let drain and hang them again. I do that once a month and it is more than enough, out of that I water kinda of half cup of water once a week for each pocket. I am sure your son will love because it makes a modern green wall looking which is not feminine, but very unisex type of decor....See MoreSuggestions for FR tables, wall decor? pics
Comments (4)Well, where to start. I don't like the pink colors in the room. It does not look like a room that needs pink window treatments or candle holders. I think your room has a good look of substantial and you should treat it with meaningful, substantial things. What about nice 2-3-inch blinds on the windows, a pretty rug (kilm, maybe) on the floor and then side tables for your chairs. If you cannot buy all new tables at this point in time, get old ones and paint them. The secret to making things look like they work together if they are second hand is to paint them all the same color. Paint them a dark color like espresso or charcoal, black, dark (very dark olive) or a substantial color, but paint them all the same color and it should work but I think the pink needs to go. P.S. Darling baby! That's the best thing....See MoreOpinions needed on these brass hurricane candle holders
Comments (11)The basket is actually darker than the candlesticks, but I think I had my flash on which is why it appears lighter. I KWYM about them looking as if they could get knocked over. I think that's why they're throwing me off. There's plenty of room on either side of the table and we have 2 toddlers here (2 & 4) while they and their parents are building next door. So far so good. lol. Tomorrow I'll switch places with the ones on the mantel, but I really like those & don't know where to put them if I took them off. Guess what I paid for the candlesticks? $7.00. Oh, I can't put them on the DR table because of the toddlers. They'd crash in a heartbeat!...See MoreSoot from candles on walls and ceiling
Comments (65)Forgive my ignorance for not reading this thread (not my read) and seeing previous comments if anyone stated this before, but if you do enjoy candles try soy candles. Regular wax burning candles (Yankee being one of them) leek potential hazardous fumes and chemicals that can be carcinogenic (no sourced article here but there are several sourced medical journals with this study). I would stay from candles all together and use artificial ones for that glow, or mood lights, aromatherapy oils are fine too. Soy candles if you really want candles. Keep the wick short no matter the brand, dont let it burn for more than a couple hours at most, immediately cover the candle with the topper or a plate after done using it. It exhausts the fire, preventing any stains on walls. And keep it in the middle of the room you're using it in....See MoreLil S
