Could it be an otter in my backyard?
Comments (28)ok, we see river otters all the time. They have the stinkiest poo you can imagine! And they love to deposit it on mooring lines, docks, boats, etc. A friend of ours has a family of them under her house and they have raised a litter. These guys are big, strong, stinky and territorial. They haven't been able to get them out while they had their kids in there, but as soon as they leave, they surround their home with an electric fence. They tried using rebar but the otters were able to bend it! One otter - cute. Family of otters -- awful....See MoreStyle question on river rock border
Comments (2)Thanks for the feedback, flyleft; I appreciate it. I laid out some tiles to show my husband what I was thinking of, and he liked it. it's still hard for me to visualize how a whole wall of glass tile will look topped with the stone border. Got to work on that vision thing! Loved the rock column in the link you sent....See MoreUSAirways down in Hudson river
Comments (18)It's amazing that BIRDS can take down an airliner! A friend of mine was flying back from Europe many years ago and there was an explosion, an engine blew out. Pilot came on and said no problem, they have 3 engines left and all is well. It was a 747. A little while later another bang, yep, another engine... shortly after a puff, and a 3rd engine gone... So like she said, contrary to what some claim, a 747 CAN fly, and land safely with only one engine. She said it was a remarkably smooth landing too. FWIW, she said she didn't want to fly again for a while. At least a couple months. Then she did....See Moregranite confused!!! yellow river or typhoon bordeaux
Comments (52)My mom just got TB with her medium dark cherry cabinets and it is the most beautiful thing you ever saw!!! Here in GA they are so bad with lots of rust stains and big splotches of weird colors. It is nothing like what my mom has in Kentucky. Her's is more like the slabs you and others are posting, the beautiful ones with the more all over pattern. Someone said it has changed recently so you are fortunate to find the beautiful TB slabs while you can. You did the right thing with TB it is great with cherry cabs and is fun to decorate around/with. You will not have any trouble finding things to go with it. We think the Danville Tan BM goes well with it. Someone also recommended Macadamia either BM or SW not sure. My mom has a stainless sink with an ORB faucet and it looks great. I think you can just about use anything with SS. You are doing great with your choices. I have a Grohe Bridgeford faucet in chrome and I love it. You will have to sort of twist it back in after spray use but that is the only thing I have noticed about it and it is no big deal....See MoreMDLN
