In Michigan, we have 315 inches of snow so it is halfway up my first floor windows. We are having a several day thaw with rain and are under a flood watch. We are actually looking forward to temps dropping below freezing level tonight to control the run-off.

SE New Mexico. We had tornadoes on Tuesday about twenty minutes from my house - scary. Yesterday we had really high winds. There were power lines and trees down all over town, along with pretty intense blowing dust. Most of the shingles blew off one side of my neighbor's roof; she is elderly and I hated to call and let her know.

Today should be 50 and sunny. I am looking forward to it.

In Edmonton, Alberta it’s still cold. About 26 degrees now and rising to 38 deg. Today.

Clouds and sun and in the 40s today. We are getting some hopeful signs of spring.

Cloudy but mild (50's) here. It is predicted to be high 60's and sunny next week but I am not holding my breath :-) The sun will very likely show up but it has been below nomal temps here since early December and I am not sure it is ever going to start warming up!!

SE Michigan. For over a week we had a pretty thick layer of ice everywhere from the melt of the snow. It was horrible. This week, it’s been wet and above freezing so it’s all melted but boy is the ground saturated. Today, we’re expecting temps in the 70 range, thunderstorms along with some strong winds. I can’t wait! I love it when I can finally open the windows to air the house out.

Bengardening, That’s a lot of snow! I hope you and dh were prepared to hunker down for a while and that you’ll be ok.

We're hitting the mid-to-upper 60s today and it's glorious to have the sun again, after all this rain. For which I'm grateful. Though I hate rainy days. And the accompanying gray skies.

In Oklahoma, the sun is shining! We've not seen the sun for quite some time. The wind is howling, but not quite as bad as it was yesterday. We had gusts up to 50 MPH at time! Some areas reported 70MPH. But thankfully, we didn't have to deal with snow!

Its supposed to warm, dry and pleasant today. Possible a small amount of rain tomorrow from a distant edge of the "Bomb Cyclone" that is roaring through the Midwest. But after that there is supposed to be 8 consecutive days without rain, which would tie the longest rain-free stretch since the beginning of 2018.

Cloudy and storms are expected to start up mid-afternoon. Here we go again!

Bengardening the same as yours same state. opened my front door and the 3 by 5 platform was solid snow 3 feet deep, it was the same last night and I cleaned it all off. So many people can't even open their doors

Texas panhandle, yesterday was in the 60s temp wise but we had horrible winds! Sustained winds of 64 mph with gusts up to 80 mph!

A lot of tipped over semi's, roofs blown off, fences blown down, trampolines sent flying, power lines snapped, I saw that a train got derailed in the area too. Luckily the only casualty we had at our house was our flagpole got knocked down.

Today it's much more chilly with a high in the 40s but the wind is not blowing.

Windy, warm, alternately sunny then cloudy. Muddy from previous snow. I'm out for a walk in a half hour. Before then I have to see if I can use a long length of pipe to press back in place a portion of aluminum wrap-n-snap fascia under the 2nd story. Don't dare go up a ladder in this wind. All the snow those in the Missouri-Mississippi basin are having now will melt and find its way down here in a month or so. Then I'll be seeing flooding all around, but we are high and dry even through flood years, thank goodness.

Sunny with a high around 65ºF. It's supposed to get up to 79ºF later this week.

Another boring day of sunshine with highs in the low 80s. It was a delightful 62 when I got up this morning.

Because of flooding on various rivers in Nebraska the Niobrara River a dam failed. There is an ice dam that is sending water to Genoa, NE this morning and evacuation warnings have been given. With the snow pack Gavins Point dam on the Missouri is releasing more water. Appears that in many parts of the country people should be aware that flooding will be a problem this year and prepare now if past waters have came close to your dwelling or work sites.

Coastal Southern California is dry, sunny, breezy and about 60 degrees. We have had a very wet and cold winter. The Painted Ladies are migrating north this week from the California deserts, and we enjoy watching them flutter by. This coming Sunday, the prediction is 80 degrees.

It started raining, then snowing, then blowing the snow into drifts. Yesterday we were without power for 5 hours. Then the radiant heat wouldn't come on. Blown capacitor, but the last owner left us a spare control unit. Once installed, we had heat. DH came home @ 10:30am to beat the storm & install new u-joints in the SUV. One was totally shot, the other was loose. One of the rentals has a stopped up sink, told them DH would come by tomorrow.

Today....I ordered a spare/6 zone radiant heat zone controller, we spent 5 hours shoveling the driveway. There's NO snow in the yard or on the roof, it ALL blew onto the driveway...16"-24"! DH just left the house and called to say "they closed the highway behind him". There were multiple semi's and cars off the road, being towed. He called to tell me to stay home! In order to get home, he'll have to go all the way around and come in a side entry to our area. ALL the schools were closed & some banks. There's a map of power outages in other areas, about 6K people without electricity.

Nichole!!! That is crazy and 5 hours without electricity in the cold is just not right. Yours is the perfect example of “when it rains, it pours”! I hope your DH gets home safe and like Bengardening you can hunker down and stay warm! Wow

ETA: Now that our driveway is free from snow, I can get the guy to come out and fix the generator. The weather guys are predicting 50-60 mph winds tonight and power outages are expected in a lot of the areas. I’ve got my fingers crossed that the predictions will be wrong and/or that ours isn’t one of them.

It’s been the ugliest winter ever here in Oklahoma. I cannot ever in my life remember so many sunless days. The wind had been brutal also. Spring must be on the way though because my fescue is greening up and so are the weeds ....I just want sun shine!

77 and sunny in Central Ky. Would be great if the wind wasn't blowing so hard. Had to run to get someone's cart they left in Kroger parking lot because it was being blown towards other people's cars. Don't know why people have to be so darn lazy. It's supposed to storm in a couple hours.

That's not good Glenda. Stay safe! Was going to go meet my daughter in Lexington but decided against it after seeing the storm clouds outside my door. I really hate when spring storms come because so do tornado warnings.

Last 3 days here in NC mountains have been mild, 50's daytime temp. Chilly at night. Hope everyone is safe and warm now.

Texas Gem, we're also in the Texas Panhandle and yep, those 80 mph wind gusts were rather scary. Lots of wooden fences blown down, barn roofs as well as some house roofs blown off, metal off of buildings, lots of metal road signs bent over at ground level, and of course tumbleweeds stacked 5' deep against pasture fences. There was one Xcel lineman killed in a town about 35 miles from us in a freak power line accident. Our oldest son volunteers with our county Sheriff department's ESU and he said he was called out about 10 o'clock yesterday morning and finally made it home about 6 p.m. yesterday. Other than the one lost of life, people in all the other cars, pickups and semis that blew over were uninjured. It was definitely cool here today and the wind was "brisk" but not like yesterday, thank goodness. Been a strange winter for sure.

Sorry to read that Winter is still raging for so many of you! We still have piles of snow on the ground in places, but most of our acre is down to bare grass -- some of it under an inch of water. I'm relieved to see our yews and other bushes spring back up after a month of being laden with over a foot of hard frozen snow. We've seen a pair of cardinals and heard them in the mornings. It will be a while before anything is green again -- other than the Chicago River for St. Patrick's Day.

I wish some of you having so much rain could send some of it down here! We need it badly.

First part of the week we hit 90 everyday. Yesterday was only in the 80's, I think, didn't really pay much attention. But AC was running when I went to bed last night, heater was on when I woke up this morning. It's 62 now, and supposed to drop on down into the 40's tonight. Cloudy, with a miniscule chance of rain. Wind was pretty strong all week, not so much right now.
