Researching whites and warm grays

I’ve read about some whites and Light grays and would be grateful for any knowledge anyone might want to share. I want to get away from green, blue, yellow or purple appearance in south facing room. I’ve tried SW balboa mist but leans violet, others that are creamy look to yellow on walls not facing south. I’ve listed some below that might work: also cabinets Are SW Dover White but facing south they are warm but no yellow.

SW 9166 Drift of mist - would it lean green or beige?

SW 7631 City loft

SW 6070 Heron Plume

SW 7636 Oragami White

SW 7005 Pure White

SW 7029 Agreeable Gray

My kitchen cabinets are painted Drift of Mist. I don’t see green in them. They look white most of the time, but sometimes you see the gray. If any other tinge of color is noticed, perhaps greige.

Pure white looks a little dull and almost greenish in our room but others swear by it. We also have SW Zurich white which we like better in our space.. and I think it’s fairly close to origami white and heron plume. It appears a lot softer and warmer in our house than pure white. I’m curious to hear what anyone has to say about origami and heron plume as I might consider them myself for our house.

My neighbors painted their whole house agreeable gray and it’s not to my taste but they love it. It’s looks in between beige and gray but personally I don’t like it, too beigey for me.

Love the ideas above. I'm like you love the natural and not so into colour. I've got herbs bamboo blinds and a Big end grain cutting board in our black and white kitchen. I've also got a small wool rug on the floor with deep reds and blues. The Dutch put these rugs on their tables and mine is probably too valuable to go on the floor but it sure looks nice.

@funcolors wow, you might be the color angel I’ve been needing as I drive myself crazy with whites! We’re repainting all interior doors and trim (prior owners left 3 trim colors, some doors that don’t match frames, etc), so we’re looking for a nice clean white. we have BM mascarpone in our family room and love it, so had planned to expand that through the open concept downstairs as well as stairway. will simply white read too stark against mascarpone? In some areas it seems to a bit, and in bright areas it doesn’t at all. We want to be consistent through the house (and my husband doesn’t like idea of mascarpone on the doors and trim and wants a truer white) , and have ultra pure white in 2 kid rooms (their choice!), and simply white is a huge improvement over the trim and doors there now, which look almost brown in comparison. Basically my Q is: Will we regret Simply White as too stark against creamy, dreamy mascarpone? Or worse, will they clash or look like we failed in an attempt to match? thanks for any help! :)

I have warm creamy whites in my kitchen and white white in the bathroom (subways, tub, sink, towels) with carrara on the vanity. It's just not a thing to me. Yes, different whites, but you can't see the kitchen from the bathroom and it's never occurred to me they need to match. ETA: Although the bathroom is a more pure white, it doesn't feel cool to me, just clean. I don't really care for cool shades in any quantity.

Totally random but I put cloud white in my search and this wisdom came up. Worth looking at BM White Dove. People also ask What color is cloud white? What is cloud white? What is the difference between cloud white and simply white?Unlike the Cloud White, the White Dove has a little less yellow, and more gray creating still a warm but more neutral coloured off white. Thanks for your comment. After further/ extensive research and sampling I’m looking now at SW Alabaster, SW Oyster White and maybe BM Classic Gray but Classic Gray appears a little muddy on my largest wall. Any feedback on any of those Colors? Again my cabinets are SW Dover White which we aren’t changing. Thanks!

Consider BM Pale Oak, which is a light greige color.

Sorry for my delayed response. Thanks for your suggestion.. Pale Oak is a color I tried. I love it but it had a slightly purple hue on the swatch on our wall. I think Drift of mist picked up a shade of green. Haven’t painted yet but leaning towards SW Alabaster.

I don't care for Pure White either. I think Extra White is prettier.

I have BM Classic Gray in my entry and hallway. It is a very light gray-I would say it's greige and very neutral in my setting.

@lori: I totally agree, since I was so turned off by sw pure white we went with sw extra white for doors and trim and it’s richer looking and looks more ‘pure’ white than pure white.. :) still, for our walls were still trying out different off-whites...

Jennifer Svensson what very light white or not yellow off white did you pair with your extra white trim? I really like our repose but want to go lighter in other rooms. I'm at a loss really. Don't love too beige just want a light neutral that's doesn't pull yellow or too much beige
