Greetings again Hanwc, For us here they take all conditions but have more red on top of the leafs in the full sun. Something I forgot to mention above Alcantereas dont always have pups, so make sure you harvest those grass pups once they reach about 80 - 100mm high from around the base of the plant. Lots of people are disapointed as they weed these away then get no pups. The grass pups grow easliy for us and are not to be wasted. Most Alcantereas have grass pups from very young so you can end up with lots of plants before the mother reaches maturity, from the plant shown above we have removed 8 so far. Hanwc thats a good Alcanterea, dont know if the name is correct, looks like A.edmundoi, which has the characteristic silver cross lined to the top of the leaf. This plant will probably not get any more color, you need the rubra form to get the red tones. If you want a brilliant red one, get the alcantarea vinicolor - its smaller though.

Well, so far nothing going on the camera, I emailed the guy on the site, no reply. I found a site parts.com that has all the parts neccessary for the camera, I have a friend who was in arial photography during the View Nam War. He has the camera apart now and had tenatively diagnosed the problems as a bad power board. Part costs $82.00 from Parts.com. His cost is zero. Much more reasonable. Now just have to hope that it is the only problem part. The site has 100's of parts for the camera, luckily they are all labled in the camera. We will see.

One work-around I've found for that, Marlorena, is to back up and take the shot from a further distance. The camera will likely get all items in focus, doing that. Then you can take advantage of the great resolution the camera has by cropping and enlarging that portion of the photo, so it is like a close-up. Another trick is to experiment with the plane of the shot. By slightly depressing the shutter button, the camera will show you which areas are in focus in the field of view by surrounding those with green rectangles. If you tilt the camera slightly or shift it to a slightly different view, you will often find you can bring more of a view into focus by doing that kind of adjustment.

Oh beachem..that's quite a hell you're going through. i'm so so sorry take care of your and yours health first..concussion is a lousy thing to have, you're doing right by resting it out. don't drive, you're not ready for that yet. Do you have someone who could possibly advocate for you? You can't deal with this s-t right now. Don't drive, and don't take your mother with you..you don't want to put you both at risk. Talk to them on the phone if you can. If possible-maybe you can find a friend who drives you both there? Listen, I got a concussion once..was told to rest, but went to work..the worst decision of my life. Nothing, nothing is worth it..the health of your parents, yes, the slab-no. Rest today, think how you'll figure it out tomorrow. Get help-in driving, etc. Really, these guys are..I can't find the words. They'll pay of course. And they'll turn everything upside down to find you a similar slab. Of course the best would be to never see them again. Gosh.
