please help me create a cozy master bedroom
Comments (14)Would you consider painting the walls an off-white (it, too, picks up from the bedding)? I just think that painting the walls a very similar color to your duvet might be too much of the same thing. Instead, I would add some accents (accessories) to pick up on the blues/greens. Like, imagine putting some photos in silver frames (for some sparkle) with double matting (one wide white one, on top of one thin blue or green matte). Also, in the long run, the wall color would work with any new bedding....See MorePlease help us choose bedroom wall color - exposed brick!
Comments (16)One thing I am LOVING about the Lenox Tan is that there is NO undertone! I was so worried about a green or red undertone ,but there is NONE. And yet, the color changes dramatically as the light changes, yet every version is gorgeous. It moves from a cooler, soft tan (first thing in the morning) and then starts warming up and emitting a golden glow; sometimes it's a burnt light brown (read the thread on my LR where I liken it to the Crayon color from when I was a kid, Burnt Sienna). In the late afternoon and evening, it's like being wrapped in caramel, and at night it's just luxurious and romantic and gorgeous. It is as near a perfect color as I've seen. Of course, that is subjective! I'd call it a stunning neutral with a lot of personality..if that makes any sense. It doesn't overpower a room, but it compliments everything, esp. those natural, rustic elements, which is why I think it would look gorgeous in your BR. Btw, I'm also in MA. The thread is called "Painting LR is done!". First pic of my LR is the least representative of the color. Further down the thread I put the Web pic that inspired me to go with Lenox Tan. It's very handsome and sophisticated, as you shall see if you look at the thread....See Morewall color ideas needed for master bedroom, Please help
Comments (36)Ok more info. Go to your ideabooks. Click on one. In upper right corner it says “select” and there are 3 dots ... Click on those dots. A menu will display. Click on “Ideabook settings”. That should bring up screen where you can slide button over to make that ideabook “private”. Then click “done” in upper right corner and you should see lock on ideabook when next displayed. Try it. Let me know if it works for you. There might be other ways but this seemed to work....See MorePlease help me decide which of these bedroom colors!
Comments (8)My intent was to paint before the flooring is in so I can take advantage of the furniture being out of the room (my husband will not be down for helping me move it all out of the room twice), and also it would just be nice to not have to worry about covering the flooring in order to paint. I considered painting AFTER the flooring is done, before the furniture is moved back into the room, but then I'm starting all over again with paint color options & the pressure to get it all done so our bedroom is functional again. :) I really didn't want to go with white in this room, and the current color is too yellow for my taste, so I've been trying to find a tan-ish color that keeps it neutral but doesn't go yellow. Totally open to paint suggestions & the bedding isn't something that can't be changed. For reference: PO - Pale Oak RP - Revere Pewter AG - Agreeable Gray...See MoreNicole R Dsp
