Paint Home Decorating Design Dilemma

Interior door color help!

I am trying to decide between natural wood doors with white trim or white doors with white trim. We are doing black interior windows with white trim and will have hardwood floors. Most rooms will be neutral colors whites, grey, etc. And i'm going for a modern farmhouse look. Our front door and patio doors are fir and will be stained. Thanks for any advice.

Here are examples of rooms that have windows with black frames. Note the trim around the windows is white.

My recommendation is that you select either white or dark charcoal gray. I would not select a wood tone because it's likely that the stain would not match for your flooring finish.

If you consider a color other than white,maybe consider a color slightly less than full black. It would provide a bit more depth than plain black see below.

Wow that looks absolutely fabulous! It is one of my favorite colors. I think it was a great selection. As for the hallway colors, will one be for the walls and the other for the trim? IMO you are looking at colors that are so close together that it might end up making something look dirty instead of a difference in paint. For example, if you put Swiss Cheese on the baseboards, it might be so close to CL that either the baseboards or the walls just look dirty. Then if you paint the ceiling another shade of white you will have a third problem. I think I would go with a second paint color that is noticeably different or do the hallway in all the same color.

I'll post a few pictures of the style I'm looking at for the interior doors.

This is similar to the front door we've chosen

We haven't finalized the patio door but it's planned to be an 8ft door with 8ft casement windows on either side. Thank you all for the input so far!

I like a single panel too.With great hardware! Window casings. baseboards ......it all matters : )
