I'd say turn on the set in your current cabinet and watch it for a few hours. If it doesn't get really warm, you're fine. If it gets too warm, make sure you are getting airflow from those rear vents. ie: make sure the cabinet isn't pushed up against the wall. If it is still too warm, then get a bigger cabinet.

OK..show and tell :) Here is mine... freezer:door has mostly my spices in pint jars. Keeps them fresh for years unlike room temp. Also the white bin you see on shelf below icemaker is a dishpan :) Used for my specialty baking stuff so I just pull it all out at once. fridge: drawer is on the left midway up...we use it for all out cheese. Rarely have meat. Note we have 2 drawers on the bottom of the fridge. That is all. Rest is shelves. Suits me as I don't need more drawers. I use the wide shelves to retard my huge trays of sourdough breads.

Looks at the specs for the sink and it will tell you min cabinet size. I'm guessing you will need 18 inch cabinet at least

ethancremepie - My apologies for the delay in responding. Yes to the 36 with 6" molding - here are the same in the pantry. I haven't found the 3" of extra space to be missed and like the richness of the taller crown. Regarding how far out the hood is, we pulled forward the lower cabinets 6" (for the 30" countertops), and the cooktop cabinets and cooktop, 9". The upper cabinets are 18" deep, and the hood itself is at about 31.5, plus then the wood hood surround. 64" worked for us - we have a custom SS surround, so that there's a large capture areas. You can sort of see it from here: I know what you mean about the 8' ceilings! I used the bold tile to draw the eye away - but I'm sure there are plenty more tricks which would work.
