Grrr - Underwire Bras Toast In No Time !
Comments (20)I also love Wacoal. Great bras. And I can often find them at discount retailers, which is nice. My other favorite is the Le Mystere lined bra (I think they call it their t-shirt bra?). This is the best lining ever, and I have *never* seen anything else like it. Never crumples, and lasts a very long time. And of course, cooler/warm water, lingere bag, and hang to dry! BTW, I buy my bras mainly at the very expensive department stores, because they carry the nice brands. I can't afford to buy anyting else there, but I can always count on them having my bras. You may be able to order online/by phone from, say, Saks Fifth Ave., or Neimans. Otherwise, I go to Marshalls and TJ Maxx and Filene's Basement - discount retailers with lots of nicer stuff. lilaclily, you might want to check the high-end dept stores too. You may pay a little more ($10-30?), but you will have a much better selection, and good quality....See MoreWhat's with bras?
Comments (36)Is it time to tell my stroke story? We were out to dinner. Suddenly I felt odd, like one side of my body was lopsided. I also had an intense pain in the ribs and got short of breath. I am not kidding you that I thought I might be having a stroke, it was that crazy. I quickly excused myself to go to the ladies room. The underwire on ONE side of my bra had SNAPPED! Just like that! I have NEVER had that happen before. Escape in the wash, maybe. But never just snap, while I was wearing it especially. With no way to fix it, and not being in the right company to just go back out that way, I took the bra off and tossed it in the garbage can. That same dinner my pantyhose decided to call a mutiny on me and those got tossed too. Imagine being the person to clean THAT garbage can! I wonder if my dinner company ever noticed....See MoreFor women only.....bra Q
Comments (33)I understand what those of you who are endowed with extra large breasts are saying but I still think it's simply a matter of poor design. If the problem is the breasts being pushed together and creating the "shelf" appearance then the problem is not wire or no wire but how the area is designed between the cups. I have notice that bra manufacturers do tend to skimp on that area often just putting the cups right together having an extremely small space between them. I could see how that would be a problem. So I still believe a good bra could be made to address the problem without wires if more women demanded it. A nice reinforced center that would do it. Fit is important. I see many women buy bras for fashion and price instead of fit. I have a good friend who is very endowed. I was buying bras recently and she bought one too, I was buying the style I always wear I wear a full figured style in a 34 c and she bought one too. WITHOUT even trying it on! Now this lady is obviously in the triple EEE range or larger but she buys a bras off the rack in a double D and just buys a huge band size. I have tried to talk to her but you know what they say about leading a horse to water ....... Yes she does have back problem and grooves in her shoulders but you can't change a person who doesn't want to change....See MoreBras are too expensive to throw away without a fight!
Comments (43)Coincidentally..... My house burned down in April and I lost everything except for what was at my bfs house at the time. Maybe that's why I am having a hard time letting this bra go... One of the only pieces of clothing I have now that I actually chose as opposed to it being donated to me. No worries, I'm not offended by the comments!! It actually reminds me that my mom used to tell me to wear clean underwear every day bc what if you end up at the hospital, do you want the doctors to see your dirty underwear?!? I see both points of view... I dress for comfort above all (I'm a massage therapist so I get to wear yoga pants to work!). I don't even bother attempting heels anymore! And honestly I can't remember the last time I purposefully matched my bra and underwear. However... When you feel comfortable AND you feel like you look good- that confidence shines through and makes you even more beautiful!!!...See Moreamykath
