This has been one subject with many varying opinions here that has confused many into knowing exactly how to prevent root rot on our containerized trees.

Is overwateting the culprit, root stock we use, the size of the containers, the mix, the way one checks for moisture ?

So I am hoping and would be greatful if experts here could clarify this for any of us concerned about this on this forum , along with suggestions for all who care.

I feel that if we can come together to help clarify this for the thousands that visit this forum , they just might book mark it in order to prevent all future root rot issues with their trees.

A well thought out thread with scientific facts and experiences is in order for a change.

If if there is disagreement and correction, this can be very much needed to shed what truly works.

There might be some with misguided ideas, old wives tales , personal opinions , personal experience, along with facts, scientific proof and expert teachers. All are welcome so we can come to a final conclusion on how to best grow our trees without FEAR of root rot.

Just how does water behave in our containerused citrus trees and how can we gain mastery over it ?
