thanks for the advice. The problem is that the tile has to co-ordinate with 3 baths and a kitchen. The kitchen has light grey concrete counters and white cabs., so I think a dark grey would work in all rooms. The problem is that both showers have a step up made of the casa del casa tile so the tiles would butt up against each other. The other thing I could do is I could afford to do the casa del casa each of the two baths to match the showers and then do grey in the half bath and kitchen. Would 2 baths with showers (upstairs) matching floor tiles (one grey/brown and one beige) and one bath and kitchen (downstairs) with matching tile look all right in a house with wood floors? The two baths are separated in different "wings" of the house, completely sepatate. That is four floor types...

Will this glazed 12x4 subway tile look good as my shower tile with the flooring that I just had installed? What about using the mosaic as an accent in the shower? I was going to use the tile on my wall too, but I am ditching that idea after receiving advice from a designer on HOUZZ. Now I'm wondering if the tile will work anywhere in my bathroom! I can still return the subway tile and mosaic for something different. My contractor is ready to start the install on Monday. All ideas and opinions are welcome!!

"If it’s functional, that alone has a beauty" Yes! FWIW I keep a squeegee in the shower to squeegee down all the walls - tile, glass, and the glass door - at the end of every shower. Makes it easier to keep clean. I love that tile you pictured, but it wouldn't work for a squeegee so maybe that's something to keep in mind as you look at tiles. Sophie: you call yourself 'negative Nellie' but I've often seen you post solid knowledge that most laypeople wouldn't know or even think to research. So keep it up please. :)
