Has anyone ever seen a cutlery organizer like this?
Comments (11)I see it just like a DW basket of silverware and I never liked the basket in the DW, so probably would not like this either. I do have a picnic version that you could insert into a taller drawer. Maybe a DW company would sell a second basket that you could put in a drawer and then just swap out baskets with clean and dirty... Well a thought but I guess you would never have everything out of either basket!...See MoreHas anyone seen an interior door handle like this in the States?
Comments (26)Sadly my husband nixed this design. He rarely voices opposition so I was quite surprised. His reasoning is that all the other door knobs in the hallway are that Baldwin oval egg shape in brass and he thinks this will clash. I don't agree but I will give this one to him as it happens so seldom. So I'll be getting that Baldwin oval knob in chrome. He liked that idea. Next project where I need a door knob I'm definitely going with this one!...See MoreHas anyone ever seen a desk or any kind of furniture like this?
Comments (0)It is a desk which may have been brought home from Asia after WWII. It has what appears to be braided stick rattan legs as well as the foot rest/brace at the bottom and the sides with a dark mahogany top. I have searched for hours for anything like it in the USA and Asia and Japan, but there's nothing out there. I sure would like to find some history about it. I believe my great uncle brought to the states to give to his parents, my great-grandparents, all long deceased....See Morehas anyone seen a fence like this?
Comments (14)Cedar fences are very common around here in fact I have one myself. You could expect it to last pretty well for about 15 years and then you will either start replacing it post by post and section by section or have to consider a new one. My neighbor was able to get some brown square metal parts for the bottom of her posts. They go into the ground and the post go into them. Not sure what they are called but this is to extend the life of the posts, which eventually rot out below grade....See Moregrannysmith18
