My picture is from last week. We still have snow on the ground but finally our extreme cold is leaving us. We are going from 14º to 40º today!! While part of the snowman is still standing, he's a shadow of his former self. :)

murraysmom, I once built a snowman in our yard and the darn dog was convinced it was some sort of alien intruder. She would not stop barking and growling at it no matter how many times I introduced her to it. I finally had to knock the snowman down and then the dog was all proud and prancy as if she had vanquished the unwelcome visitor.

nicole, I did not know there were moose in Colorado. I thought they were found mostly on the northern parts of the east coast and up into Canada and Alaska.

The wind chill was -20 when we went out last night to a meeting so, as kind and responsible fur parents, we put a fleece coat on our GR service dog. When we got home and removed the coat, she immediately asked to go outside and we watched her roll in the snow for 5 minutes. I believe she was sending us a message.

Dawn....Yes, lots of moose in Colorado, but you have to look for them....usually they aren't walking down the middle of a ski run like in the video. Estes Park, pic of twins, taken with a point n' shoot camera:

This mama moose brought her twins right up to the main road....to show off her babies. We started a "moose jam". Traffic was piled up, park rangers running around yelling for everyone to get back....everyone w/ cell phones clicking away.....

Making the best of a muffaletta! Ordered half a muffaletta. Ate one in hand, took the other plus gumbo home.

No snow here or trees with frozen branches. How about a white amaryllis instead? This is the time they start blooming. I have most of them planted outside except new ones I got as a Christmas present.

No one sitting today. Cold, but warming up to 29 today, 53 tomorrow.
