I'd stay away from the wreath or fake flowers if you can. (Though I admit to having fake or dried flowers in mine...they are detested by many.) Instead there are other attractive bath accessories you can get from towel holders, tissue holders, soap dispensers, and things to hold cotton balls and q tips. But I wouldn't go too crazy with kids using the bath primarily... As far as art work, you don't want anything expensive as the moisture in the room could damage it, so stick to prints and such or you can hang things on the wall that are less affected by moisture like plates. Perhaps you should go to houzz.com and look at the bathrooms there for some ideas.

I love that shower curtain! Blue and brown is a very hot color combination right now, so you shouldn't have trouble finding accessories. My son's room is blue and brown, and we got some things at Target and others at Kohls. I think a light blue wall color would look great with it. If you're going to put new fixtures in there too, the oil-rubbed bronze finish would look really pretty. As for whether it would be too different from the rest of the house, I guess it depends on where it is. In my last house, I had a blue bathroom even though the house was mostly decorated with red, green and gold. It was sort of down a hall, so it didn't matter. I'm no expert, so I hope you get some other responses, too. I really like it though!

I like shower curtains vs glass (I don't like cleaning glass enclosures and even hung a shower curtain in front of one in my last home.) I have a "whole home" color palette, my house is painted with a light taupe neutral and bedrooms, bathrooms, accent colors are all grayish purples, soft blue greens and deep wine reds. For both bathrooms I found a shower curtain that I loved and then painted the bathrooms to go with the shower curtains, both shower curtains had soft blue greens. I painted one bathroom BM Quiet Moments and the other BM Beach Glass. You want the bathroom to work with the colors in the rest of the home, but it is a space where it is nice to add a bit of color. Your floor tile lends itself nicely to blue greens. Colors similar to what I used (bluer blue greens) to the greener sage greens with just a touch of blue. Many people who want modern will use a solid color or white shower curtain or something with a soft geometric pattern. I happen to like more nature centric designs, leaves, flowers, dragonflies.
