Reviews on their Omega custom cabinets anyone?
Comments (76)Horrible experience with Omega cabinets. I'm currently in the process of remodeling my kitchen and bar. We originally ordered my cabinets in october 2021 and were told that there was a 4 months lead time and we had to order right away because Omega was going to raise prices within a week. We were comfortable with ordering Omega as they were the top brand in semi custom cabinets and came highly recommended. So we didn't shop around and just decided to go with the "best". Although we were happy with our Diamond brand cabinets for our bathrooms. We received our cabinets in February as promised and due to things running long, they sat in my garage until we were ready to install. We opened up the cabinets in March and to our surprise 50% of the cabinets had major defects that I could not accept the product. We immediately ordered replacements and were told that we would have them in 4 weeks. Well, it's May 27 2022 today and I recieved my replacements 8 weeks later. I cannot believe the quality of the product from Omega. The new cabinets still have dings, missing paint, chips along the shelves and doors, scratches and smears all along the top. I'm beyond frustrated with the experience of my cabinets and this is what I paid nearly $40k for! In addition to putting my entire remodeling project on hold for months and costing me extra stress and money from not having a kitchen and having to order out every meal, paying for storage of my entire 1st floor just because it's waiting for cabinets. This is probably one of the worst products that I've received in my remodeling. DO NOT BUY FROM OMEGA....See MoreHas anyone use Dynasty & Omega 'near custom cabinetry'
Comments (22)We used Omega's Dynasty line for our kitchen and are glad we did. We selected the Bancroft style in Cherry wood with the Mandarin finish. Looks custom without the cost of custom. Our order included features like regular and pot/pan drawers, full extension drawers, soft-close drawers and pull-outs, appliance garages, corner units, cabinet doors for use with glass inserts, dual-bin lower cabinet pullout for recycling and built in lazy susans. Cabinet boxes are solid and finish was excellent. Ultimately, everything came out perfectly and we are very happy with the results. Would definitely recommend this cabinet maker!...See MoreOmega vs. Starmark Cabinets
Comments (5)Hello Brian, Thank you for your interest in our cabinetry. We want the chance to earn your business and answer a few of your questions. Foremost, the replacement of damaged parts and pieces will take the same amount of time no matter where you order cabinetry from. Whether you order online or through a local dealer doesn't matter, the incidence of damage isn't tied to the order source. When a member reports any issues with their cabinetry we act immediately to create resolution. I don't want you to worry about a six month kitchen nightmare, as our parts and pieces orders ship within 2 weeks of order. One thing I would like to stress, regardless of whether you choose us or another dealer, is to allow enough time in your schedule to not only replace a piece or two in the case of damage, but time for the cabinetry to acclimate to your home before installing. Especially now, as the winter is upon us, wood cabinetry needs to breathe the air in your home for at least 3 days before being installed. When it comes to choosing a cabinetry vendor, you should go with the company that makes you feel most comfortable. Many local dealers have excellent reputations. Like any line of business, of course, some do not. Our service is backed by Costco. As a Costco vendor, we are committed above all else to Member satisfaction. If something is not right, we make it right. Even in the case where you might have made a mistake - your contractor cut the wrong molding or you didn't know about some piping behind a wall - we are here to work with you to resolve the issue. And of course, if something is not right - an item is damaged, the finish is not to your liking, or any other such case - we will replace that item, no questions asked. Our philosophy is to provide the best possible product, at the best possible price, with the best possible service. Our online business model allows us to provide these things to Costco members nationwide. I understand your trepidation at ordering online. We have pleasantly parted ways with many potential customers who felt the same. However, we have delivered thousands of beautiful cabinetry projects to Costco Members across this great country, and we would be delighted to bring the same care, commitment and craftsmanship to your home as well....See MoreProblems with omega cabinets tarin line?
Comments (56)I am writing to clarify some of my previous comments which were not entirely accurate and Houzz does not allow me to edit/correct my posts. I put an order through today with a walnut-veneered slab door. This thread got me thinking and in order to give my customer accurate information, I called to speak with Omega customer service. The original poster's door is outsourced. It arrives at the Omega factory already veneered but unfinished. Other parts of this kitchen ( veneered plywood cabinet sides and panels) come from a different supplier. To add to the issue, there are solid walnut pieces such as crown. Therefore, in any one walnut kitchen, you have the potential of three different finish aesthetics. Everything is stained at the Omega factory, but the veneers on the doors (minimal sap wood) differ from the veneers on the plywood (up to 20% sap wood), which will differ still from solid wood. This can result in slight color differences. I have sold several walnut slab kitchens without issues. The kitchen in this original post obviously has some! Knowing Omega like I do, I know anything that needs replacement will be taken care of....See MoreFrank Hagan
