Comments (2)I'm moving into the bedroom as a a permanent roommate. The bookshelf can be taken out of the room so I'm debating whether or not to keep it. If I keep it, I'd rather not paint it. I'm very into Scandinavian/Japanese minimalism mixed with "Wes Anderson" style. In terms of budget, I pretty much try and buy based on three criteria: 1. Efficiency 2. Price 3. Style. I'll pay more for something if it ends up being extra efficient/multi-purpose over something pretty. If it's just pretty but kind of a chore/hassle to move and doesn't give me much use (Like, say, a mini credenza), then I won't buy it unless it's on sale/a thrift store find. Anything over $300 I consider a splurge, and I'd like to splurge only on unique accent pieces. I guess I should state that I do have a small steamer trunk that's very Wes Anderson style. It's about 16" high and 30" long and painted cerulean blue with a slight lacquer to it. It's super, super similar this trunk. I'm totally open to any color scheme! But my selling point for the cerulean trunk was because of how vibrant the blue was. I wonder how it'll look against the beige laminate floor.......See Morelooking for help with wall color - bedroom makeover
Comments (0)My daughter wants to updated her bedroom. She has the PB Teen chevron zig zag duvet in the link below. What color should she paint the walls. She likes the blue wall color in the link but thinks it might be too dark. https://www.google.com/search?q=pottery+barn+teen+chevron+zig+zag&tbm=isch&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwim4oDLk97fAhVRhOAKHdOjB4wQ_AUIqwQoAQ&biw=1600&bih=796#imgrc=JvrnUBpsM9PpFM:...See MoreChattanooga mountain side Bedroom makeover (HELP!)
Comments (19)The cutout for the bed leaves the placement of bedside tables in an awkward position. They ended up too far away from the head of the bed so you can't really reach items there very easily, and they just don't look right. It must be rather difficult too to reach back to put the fitted sheets on at the head of the bed. As an alternative, why don't you construct a knee wall along the length of that wall? You would still retain the extra floor space by having the bed pushed back and the entire look and function would be improved....See Moreglfjjf
