Help with window treat witn mansard roof

James K

I'm starting off a renovation for an 70's style residential, and I'm trying to figure out what to do with the windows that are cut through the mansard roof.

I was thinking about adding a trim and/or shutters, but most mansard roof windows that I've seen have the bottom flush with the roof, and the top juts out. This one is kinda the opposite: the top is flush, and the bottom is inset. Do you guys think it would look weird if trimmed out on the slightly slanted surface of the roof? Any other ideas to make the window not look so plain?

I'll be replacing the shingles with a dark-grey color, and replacing the windows with a white vinyl window.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

James
