I agree with Sweeby. Make one meal for the family. Don't give choices anymore. My thing with my child and skids is that they have to try everything on their plate. I give them small enough portions that they can eat it all. I dont accept the not liking veggies thing because they need that nutrition! If they play "not hungry" or refuse to eat....fine it gets wrapped up and put in the fridge in case they get hungry when others have dessert! I do not engage in power struggle...been there-done that! I once spent way too much time in a restaurant trying to force my son to eat a piece of toast he ordered and put jelly on and then decided he did not like! As for desserts we try to go healthy sometimes and we don't have dessert every night. My son loves to make smoothies....some cut up fruit, yogurt, ice, and a little sugar. Or dessert may be some strawberries or cherries...fruits that are a bit more expensive so they are not usually a snack around our home. We also have the ice cream sundae nights or baking cookies, etc. There were two posts the other day on the parent forum about eating issues...you may want to check them out.

A lot of people are suspecting he may be a serial killer and gotten away with it for a long time. I think he may be a spree killer along the lines of Andrew Cunanan (who killed Gianni Versace). Spree killers have poorly hatched plans and robbery is often the motive, though sometimes rape is involved. Spree killers don't make much of an effort to conceal the corpse, and do dumb things that leave a trail (Cunanan used his real name when pawning his victim's belongings.) Spree killers "snap" for some reason and start a killing spree. There may be an interval between the first and subsequent murders and earlier murders are spread further apart, but the murders tend to happen closer and closer together as time goes on. (Towards the end Dahmer was killing a new victim every week.) The video at the casino shows a lot of awkward hand shaking going on AKA 'the pass' for drugs. Note the movement of Jorans hands after he shakes her hand. Note how she does not want to stay. It is likely they went back to the hotel to do drugs together (this is not an uncommon situation and I an NOT blaming the victim). Maybe they just went to do online gambling since they both like to gamble and the casino closed at 5:00. Joran weirdly shakes his hand with a prolonged clasp before he departs and does the same with another guy he passes who had been "hanging around". Could Joran be buying date rape drugs? Had one of these guys been paid to drug her drink when she was not looking? Something seemed to be "cooking". Money(chips?) and drugs look like they were being passed. raven, I don't believe it would have been cleaned or conditioned yet, as it's quite new. We'd decided to get leather for our next furniture, but hadn't budgeted it yet, when an amazing offer came up. A friend's (wealthy) friend, wanted to move back home (overseas) but didn't want the hassle of listing and selling all their furnishings. She was giving away everything FREE, to anyone who could use it. Of course, we were thrilled to get a lovely leather set, that is in excellent condition I slip on my DD's sofas as well, but just realized that my DS has a leather sofa too. I never slide on his, and apparently it's Nubuck leather. It's very comfortable also, but provides more traction. My leather set obviously can't be returned to a store to buy a more suitable set. But maybe I can buy a piece of Nubuck leather to just put under me, when I sit. If I put it top side down, so that it won't slide on the leather sofa, perhaps I won't slide from the Nubuck piece, lol!

💉💉💉 Pfizer says it will be unlikely to have additional Covid vaccine for the US until the summer. It’s been reported that months ago the US had an opportunity to contract for many more doses but declined. That’s very unfortunate. There is some moderate immunity conferred after the first shot, so that’s good news. The side effects felt after the second injection (a few weeks later) are along the lines of those experienced by the second Shingles shot — sore arm at the injection site for a day or two, and some feeling of blah all over. Just for a day or so. This demonstrates that the person’s immune system is responding. The vaccine has NO virus in it, but instead just a piece of the genetic code of the virus. There is no way that the vaccine can cause the virus in those injected. Dr. Kavita (sp) Patel (MSNBC) said she got to read some of the documents and details and is optimistic. A few weeks ago, she was waiting to see that information before committing to taking it. In Wales, vaccinations have begun and their system of prioritizing and administering (the logistics, and set up) seem exceptionally well organized and thought out. Wales has been hit very hard. From some of the video footage and narrative on MSNBC, it appears that after the vaccine has been removed from the very cold freeze, it can be administered within a five day window. I am feeling better about this. Oh, and as many of you might know, a lot of this vaccine development had been somewhat researched during the similar SARS epidemic. So researchers were not starting from a blank slate.
