Which paniculata is the best choice?
Comments (3)Humm - Hard to say what is the best choice. Really comes down to preference. White Moth is one of the earliest to bloom and does bloom for a long time. It looks like it and my Preacox are about to bloom at the same time (first time Preacox has bloomed). It has a nice rounded shrubby shape. Here is a picture at the beginning of it's bloom time last year:...See MoreWhich sconces? [pictures included]
Comments (18)I love this forum! Post, go away for a few hours, come back and have lots to think about. Here are some answers to some of the questions. The fixtures are paper cut outs that have been enlarged to scale and then taped to the wall. So aside from looking "flat and paper dull" they are the size the light fixtures would be if purchased. They range from 18" to 29" high. The jbox is 71.5" on center from the floor, which makes the actual light much higher when most of these mounted. I'm resigned that these will need to be moved. Maybe I should try taping the fixtures lower? Tryin2grow, I like your 41 option, but the style is more fancy than the house. Rabbit_house, I was originally going to go downlight, but they seem too short for the space. The mirror is new and chosen that high to be in line with a window that is next to it. Looking back, may not have been the best idea...seemed like good advice at the time :) In any case, it will have to stay. The cabinet that will replace the sink, will be a 48" wood, furniture like vanity with a stone top without a backsplash. As far as style, oh how I wish I could explain it. We live in a mountain lodge style house. I've included a picture of the living room, and the kitchen and new kitchen table which may give you a feel for my style. Don't let the "craftsman lights" over the kitchen island sway you. I just liked them but don't find myself going to anything else craftsman....See MoreVOTE ... Which Cabinet Door (narrowed down to 2 choices)
Comments (16)Ditto Fori verbatim on the cabinet decision! I can barely see the difference between them, and if one will save you $800, go with that one. My kitchen has a 45-degree angled wall just like yours does, and I have frameless cabinets as well. In the entire kitchen, I only have fillers in the corners of the 45-degree angle space, and by the dishwasher drawers because we needed to fill up that space. The fillers by the 45-degree angle are about 2-3". Part of that is because they needed to be sure the drawers/cabinet would clear eachother, and part is because our cabinets were not custom and we had to conform to the 3" increment restraint. The fillers were no bigger than what we would have needed if we chose framed cabinets with full overlay doors. Far and away, we gained MUCH more space by using frameless cabinets than we lost to fillers- especially because almost all of our base cabinets are drawers....See MoreWhich bed do you like better (two choices)?
