Comments (17)Kate, it is beautiful! Love the yellow with the blue & white blocks. And I love your "inspector", too! One of our goofy cats helps us make the bed almost every day - we call him Inspector 12 (remember the old Hanes underwear commercials?). Comments (16)Hazelnutbunny, I'll get that address off to you this evening. You'll do fine with the points. Some directions are easier than others to get them to line up well. Many times, when I have a lot of triangles to do, I modify the pattern from working with little triangles, to using two squares, and seaming them down the middle and cutting off the waste to use later in a scrappy. Those bias seams are doosies. I also starch bias seams before I sew them and handle them carefully now. I was amazed at the play in them and always wondered why my triangles were out of shape and my points off. I'm still working on it too! I also have to make a fabric run for this one, but thank goodness for fat quarters! Comments (9)Dan, I was never a fan of the HST, measuring to the 7/8', sew on either side of the diagonal, cut etc., etc. This year I was introduced to the easy angle tool and while many quilters may poo-poo it, going to class and learning this tool has made HST a breeze for me. Kristene...It was a pleasure to meet you at the retreat this year. I'm glad you are enjoying the Amish country, it's just an hour or so away from my home base and I do marvel at the handiwork you can find in the area. Also, lots of great quilt stores...The old country store in Intercourse PA and the Log Cabin Quilt Shop in Bird in Hand PA (just a few miles apart) are two of my favorites for great fabric buys. Maybe you'll have a chance to check them out. Enjoy the remainder of your stay in the States...you're a lovely lady, so happy to have met you...looking forward to the Birthday exchange this year. Safe travels. V....See MoreSammy
