Not my usual smile for today, but saw this in today's news. Those must be some freakin' good baguettes!!

NORWALK — Police responded to SoNo Baking Company & Café Monday morning after reports of a disturbance at the store.

Thomas Howes, 56, of Little Fox Lane, Westport, grew angry when he tried to order two baguettes but bakery staff said they had none in stock, police said. Howes kicked the door in, shattering the glass — causing more than $1,500 in damage — before he drove off in a gray BMW, police said.

Because Howes provided his name and phone number when placing his order, officers were able to track him down, police said. Howes turned himself in around 11:30 a.m. Monday.

He was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree breach of peace. He was held on $5,000 bond and given a court date of Jan. 4.
