Half slab of granite needed for bathroom vanity!
Comments (6)Thanks for all your replies--your ideas have been very helpful! @GreenDesigns, I could see how you would think our design might look like a runway. (great analogy BTW!) In trying to keep things brief, I failed to mention that we plan to place a tall cabinet on top of the granite at either end of the vanity and possibly a shorter one in the middle. Thanks for your great input! After many hrs. of research on-line, I was able to locate a couple of granite yards in Anaheim that will sell 1/2 slabs. We will be checking them out soon and have also been checking tile and granite stores for remnants or excess inventory that meet our minimum specs of 126" x 24". I have also contacted @rem1970 as maybe we can help each other out if the price is right! Keep your fingers crossed--we'll keep you updated. Any other ideas will always be welcome. Comments (14)Do you have a separate Dining Room (this is where it would help if we saw the layout of the entire floor - both here and on Kitchens - not just the addition, the entire floor). I'm asking b/c if you do, you might consider making the table space a banquette and taking more space for the Powder Room. (Bench along the Powder Room and, possibly, "top" walls) Regarding the laundry - I'll be honest, I would not want my laundry anywhere where guests could see it - and putting it in the Powder Room means guests will definitely see it! It might help to build an enclosure around it - it would at least hide the washer & dryer, but it wouldn't help with any laundry sitting in the room - clean or dirty. Note that expanding the Powder Room may mean going with the narrower window (8'+ vs 10')....See MoreAdding half bath on concrete slab
Comments (2)Donald: Try contacting a few local reputable General Contractors, please. Ask them how much their last few bath-on-slabs cost their customers. Answer all their qualifying questions, please. No time to be cagey....See MoreBasement half wall
Comments (4)The "shiplap" ship has sailed and sunk why that at all it will do nothing to brighten up the space. Get better lighting all LED 4000K . Show us the whole room and what do you need the storage for? I find open shelving usually looks messy in a office and in a guest room really just adust collector but I need to see the whole spac e. Is that hot water heating or electric?...See Moreworthy
