kitchen lights, dining area light and living room lights
Comments (7)Hi Normel, Thanks for the suggestion. I opened the receptacle and the wires were taut (i.e. nothing was loose there). Of course, since the wires come through the sheet rock I can't see where it is coming from. All the sockets closeby and infact pretty much every socket appeared to have power. Somehow it is the living room lights, the kitchen lights and dining area lights that are not having power. All the sockets in the living room, fan and the lights that go with the fan have power. Any other suggestions? Any ideas about how I can check if the circuit breaker that supplies to this circuit is ok ? Thanks Regards, Mohan_R...See MoreLighting for Living and Dining Rooms
Comments (6)I would try more table and floor lamps first. You'll need them regardless, so go ahead and decide where/what you need/want on that score before you bite off a big installation in the ceilings. You might want to lower the dining chandelier to 36" or less above the table (the bottom at eye level of the tallest person living there.) You have an outlet there by the fireplace, so it wouldn't be much trouble to run a light off that in the ceiling above the tall chest. That could light up your display nicely. Consider a fern in a basket on the hearth to hide the outlet. Not sure what the black line is behind the sofa. That looks to be a wall where some art with art lighting above would look nice. Would want to see more walls/furniture you have in order to make sound suggestions for your lighting. Remember, ceiling lights usually get lowered or turned off so that task and accent lighting can take over and add that warm, cozy feeling to your spaces....See MoreLight fixture suggesstions for dining room/living room!
Comments (3)If you really like the dining, fixture do put it at the front door it is far to under scaled for your dining room and will work just perfect at the front door. Because they run parallel to each other I would not do a matching light. If you like that style https://www.lowes.com/pd/allen-roth-allen-roth-Providence-5-LT-Antique-White-Liner-Chandelier/5001725249le this could work: But I like this https://www.lowes.com/pd/allen-roth-Emilia-5-Light-Black-Modern-Contemporary-Chandelier/5002176865 or https://www.lowes.com/pd/allen-roth-Calliope-4-Light-Chrome-Modern-Contemporary-Crystal-Chandelier/5002176445...See MoreNeed help with living/dining/kitchen wall color, lighting and decor
Comments (54)I would skip the shades and just do neutral drapes on the sliding doors, something like this. They need to barely touch the floors, so measure from the middle of the wall between the top windows and sliding doors and the floors. Adding a lamp suggestion with the rug you like...See MoreGN Builders L.L.C
