Goat skin gloves and new pruners. I am so ready to go prune something.

Some people get socks every year for Christmas -- I get new gardening gloves. I also got a nice vented sun hat and some knee pads. The hat is purple and the knee pads are bright yellow. I'm glad the neighbors already consider me eccentric.

I also got a cute little bird bath for my butterfly garden, but we won't talk about how my brother picked out the one with frogs on it.

I got a heated seeding mat and a grow light stand, both what I wanted for years!!

It sounds like our families know us pretty well, although, I dropped many hints.

I got a Worxx wheeled garden thing kind of like a wheelbarrow but it also has a foot at the end for moving heavy pots. My husband has wanted to get me that for a few years. I like the size of the wheels and think it'll make a number of things easier. He got himself some tools and says, " What do you want me to make?" so that is super duper. By the way, after about 14" of snow there is one rose out there that has been blooming about a week...La Sevillana. It just has one undersized bloom with few petals but it is red and welcome.

Oh I’ve seen that cart Erasmus, it looks wonderful!! I too can’t wait to prune.. I did a few broken branches with my new pruners and it was so tempting to keep going! In fact it’s been so warm here in tenn , my perennials are coming back, swollen bud eyes on roses and even a few buds on my honeysuckle. I wonder what these next couple months will look like.

I got a new hand shovel, pruners and heavy duty lopers-along with strict instructions (from my 24 year old son) not to injure myself!

The only problem with getting garden gifts this time of year is that it REALLY makes me want to play in the yard!

Erasmus, that DH of yours is a keeper! So is that rose if it's still blooming in all that snow!

Seil, the snow came and went, taking it's time to melt. I noticed the bloom after the snow had melted. We're having a lot of rain since the snow so it's saturated out there. Not so warm here in NC , Lilyfinch, but not very cold either. Ok by me.

My oldest son gave me some rose shaped salt and pepper shakers. Daughter gave me rose scented bath gel. They get it!

No garden gifts here, but we celebrate ALL 12 day of Xmas, so I'm still holding out hope. DH did aks if I "didn't have enough roses" when High Country Roses offered their 25% off gift certificates, so I'm not holding my breath for that, although he's a crafty one. I'm really hoping for new pruners. He got me some nice ones for my birthday 2017 which my helper promptly lost, so he may feel I'm not a good bet. : (

but oh, my utter joy at being told to look outside and finding a package of bareroot roses. Somebody snooped on my favourites page, I think and ordered them from Loubert in France.

My guests left today so guess what tomorrow involves?

Ha, rachel. I bet i know what that weeder is! I have a vintage one and will post a pic when I find it.

Evidently Santa got ahold of my rose list on the computer that has alphabetically ordered every rose I have (plus the ones I have coming), and it's type, color, and misc. info, and ordered some roses that I do not yet have. I'm very excited to have some mystery roses coming!!!
