Your favorite Turkey leftovers use!
Comments (4)LOL, cyn--got lots of soup left. I have two containers in the fridge and a large Ziplock in the freezer. Come by anytime--just make sure I know you're coming and if I don't have any in the fridge, I'll thaw out the one in the freezer! I wound up using Pastina rather than noodles, and did both the white potatoes and the sweet and it's really good! I like to use Butternut Squash in soups, too, instead of carrots. So yummy!!! I wish I had some celery to add to the pot, though! I think it would have been even better! I love left-over turkey anything, sandwiches, heated up as the main meat and just eating it cold, a morsel at the time! And, leftover pumpkin pie is the best!!!! Sigh--it won't last long though, will it! :o)...See MoreWhat are your faves??
Comments (4)You have alot of possibly conflicting uses for this room, will you be operating a kiln in this room, and will have the residual heat from this in addition to a southern exposure all glass room? Humidity levels if so should be expected to vary dramatically, and most plants won't like this. If you can post some pictures, and elaborate on the conditions you expect, it would be easier to make suggestions. Many tropicals will not like high heat with full sun and low humidity, so you may need to stick with plants that can take temperature extremes and still grow well. Many cactus like Euphorbias, Plumeria, Pachypodiums, Aloes, could do well here, but some of these have milky sap that is irritating to skin, or thorns. Try visiting local botanic gardens that have greenhouses, or seeing other locals with sunporches to see what does well in your area. Also, be careful that anything you bring in as a new plant is absolutely clean of insects, as they will multiply and spread like crazy indoors, and it is much easier to keep them out, than battle them once they are inside....See Moreworkstation sink - what is your fave cutting board?
Comments (0)I'm so excited about the custom fabricated stainless counter top and workstation sink being made for my island. DH is an amazing cook and i'm ever grateful. Hoping to surprise him with a lovely board, although i worry it wont meet his specific preference. I'm curious for those chef's out there, what is you favorite cutting board for workstation sink? I'm happy to pay for a custom size as it will get use daily. (note: we use / actually cook in our kitchen. i don't care what it looks like if it isn't functional)...See MoreDunkin (not Donut anymore)..my fave Fall drink! What's yours?
Comments (12)I normally never do Fall drinks, as I associate them with being sweet. That is what I liked about the one I tried from DD, the only thing sweet is the cream on top, other than that it's the flavor they put together of the cold brew is that is surprisingly so good. Our SB's around here are kind of trashy, except for one, so I don't go to them any longer. I guess you can say I've graduated up from Starbucks to Dunkin now for drive-thru LOL No, but really, we have much better coffeehouses in town than Starbucks-if I want a really good coffee. When my MIL was still alive, she’d love me to take her to SB inside Barnes & Noble to get an Apple Cider, which was very good....See Morecindy-6b/7a VA
