What's the best electric men's shaver?

My husband has used a Norelco triple head shaver but swears that they aren't as good as they used to be. Do any of you know of a model number shaver that is a good one. Norelco has several different models and I think they are different and different blades. My husband has a beard that isn't very heavy or coarse. I think this is the biggest problem he is having is that his whiskers are not coarse so the blades don't cut them very well? Just a guess. Are the Remington shavers better than Norelco?

I just bought a new one for my husband. It had good reviews. I ordered it from Amazon. He has been using it and absolutely loves it. Said it was better than all his expensive big name brands.

@k Sissy, I dry all my shower walls, caulking at the floor junction, and corners at the floor. Info this every time. I have not had to "clean" my shower in 3 years. I have only cleaned the cast iron floor as needed, because I don't wipe that down daily. Love the microfiber towel. Mines very thick and is 20x40". It is so absorbent it could dry 2 showers before I'd have to wring it out. It's hard/slow for me to hold the squeegee just right to make the perfect swipe on walls and glass. The towel is a breeze. I've asked people if they had to wipe down a nice car, would they squeegee it? No, they'd use a towel. No connection to this company. I've read that Korean microfiber is the best. fruitnut, I too am single and happy to be so. But I figured out a long time ago that, wishing to be in a marital/famly status you're not is pointless. No matter the status, it has its benefits and its downsides. I'd rather be single than in a bad marriage. I'd rather be in a great, happy marriage than single. I'd rather be single w/o children than single with a child or childrenÃ¢ÂÂ¦the combos are endless. Turned down two proposals; didn't get the one I wanted, and that was it for me. I moved on to single life, and I have no regrets at all. Some people are in marriages I would love to have for myself; more are in marriages I would not want for myself; some singles know how to be single and content, while others spend their time bemoaning the fact that they're single, based solely on a status our culture puts on being married (i.e.: married = winner; single = loser). so, best course is to make the best decisions you can for yourself and others, and let the chips fall where they may; don't force them (i.e.: marry a loser just to be married). Carve out the best life one can for oneself, regardless of status. My only complaint about being single is that, married people tend to cast single friends off and not consider them peers. That I regret, because I love so many of my married friends.

Hmmm, so I fuss over "girl" AND "guy" stuff. When it came time to have our electrical box upgraded from the old 100 amp service to the 200 amp service...I was the one asking the questions to the electrician. When our electrician was here this weekend to replace an old light switch that sizzled and fried (littlerally...black smoke coming out and everything!), I was right there, asking him about it. And I LOVE that he explained it to me as a human and not as "okay, little lady, here's what's up with it." When we were getting ready to build a house a few years ago...it was me that fussed over the dual zone heating. And me that fussed over the geothermal heat pump. And me that was asking about the relative advantages and disadvantages of Superior Walls vs. standard foundations. My husband came along for the ride on most of that. In our house, in many cases, I do the research (be it "male" or "female" based. Narrow down the choices to what I find acceptable. Present findings to DH and then we work on finding a decision. But, me, heck yeah, I'm going to be SO excited (seriously!) when it comes time for us to have the HVAC people in to replace our old furnace. But, I'm a little odd like that.

My siblings and I exchange smaller gifts.. my brother generally makes one stop for all sibling gifts-- it's generally the state store, starbucks or dunkin LOL. This year, I think I am going to go with the Yeti tumblers for the BILs.. Other gift ideas for men in the $20-$100 range: irish driving cap tabasco items - tees, polos, ties, etc They have some very fun designs (or used to) suede grill mitt digital/blue tooth meat thermometer scarf Pistachio Bowl (all of mine have come from Hilborn Pottery but there are many designs from lots of companies) Over $100 Panini Press - great for a young, single man - I got one for my nephew when he was a bachelor because, darn it, you can toast just about anything between two slices of good bread and have a great meal. Boos cutting/carving board Pizza Oven - my sister bought the breville ($150) at WS and I thought the pizza was great. The whole family loves it. (They also make them to go on the grill). If they cook, good olive oil, flavored vinegars, funky fun spice blends Craft cocktail fixins Artisanal booze.. small batch gins and bourbons are becoming very popular (especially with the younger set)

It could be that he needs to replace the blades as they do become worn after several years. Try getting him some Electric Shave. It supposedly causes the hairs to stand up although that may just be advertising. I think perhaps using aftershave before shaving could do the same thing.

When my husband was on Hospice for a while last year the bathing assistants asked if I could get an electric razor as they were not supposed to use blades on someone with a bleeding history. After I purchased a Norelco I was told that it was the one that they found worked the best on their patients.

I've had a couple of electric shavers and went back to safety razors. My Remington worked the best of the two. When using electric shavers, I had a problem of developing skin rash and irritation and these shavers do not work as well as a blade.

A safety razor with Barbasol shaving cream worked the best for me. The Barbasol lather is very good and the least expensive plus you get a good face wash. The best buy in disposable Gillette safety razors is the large pack at Sam's Club. I have used a Gillette holder with double edged blades as well but found there is a greater hazard of accidental cuts with these. The cuts occurred not while shaving, but at other times.

The reason I got the one I did was because it can be use with shaving cream and water it is 100% water proof. He has really been enjoying it and no rash or pinches. He was having a lot of nicks and cuts using his safety razors, no more blood loss lol.
