I never thought I would hate raccoons..............
Comments (8)Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Lisa: I am tempted to stay up all night to see. Only thing I can figure is they wait at the edge of the pond and when a fish comes up on the shelf "Bam, they have it." I still haven't been able to catch the injured fish. Even though it doesn't have a tail it's fast. My water is so clear you can see it was gnawed off entirely. The poor fish just wiggles through the water. I am worried about infection. They struck again last night and tore my floating islands to shreds. Just like Mike posted they must think the noodles are edible. There is blue styrofoam from one end of the yard the the other. The one you made me they didn't bother though. I took a pic of it and forgot to post it for you to see. Catherinet: I never had a problem when my dog was alive. He died two years ago and ever since then it's been "coon city". I just made the remark to my son that I'm going to adopt a greyhound. I won't have another dog though. I work full time and it isn't fair to the animal. Maybe when I retire. Or I can put a sign in my front yard "Curb your dogs on my grass" or "dog poo wanted". lol I think they sell water scarecrows at my garden store. Jenny...See MoreNever thought I would write this
Comments (18)You never think it'll happen to you....or at least that's what *I* used to think. I've had my ***LOCKED*** 2003 Camry broken into twice in 12 months since moving to the East Coast. These guys have tools so they can get into your locked car as fast as you and I can get in WITH keys. Now, I don't leave anything in my car that I don't want to donate to the local drug dealers. People rag on the midwest, but when I lived in nowhere-land, Illinois, we just didn't have this kinda crime. We didn't have *crime* in our cozy little suburb, probably because half the residents were retired and on the lookout. Rose...See MoreI would have never thought
Comments (8)I'm not really a good get ridder. If it's dead or I never wanted it I'll throw it or give it accordingly, but I'm always looking for the thing I got rid of five years ago so I don't tend to get rid of things if they're good. Except sometimes the questionable things, like jars and containers and styrofoam for art projects. It was a good thing I had all the plastic containers when I started sorting mosaics, but sometimes I go into a big fit of recycling when I just can't look at that stuff any more. But I do know the horror of unpacking a small space! It's amazing how much fits! Even when I last moved, I tried to tell the movers how many boxes of books were stacked under the dining room window and they still underestimated, because they thought it looked like less. A bit of advice? Pack now, and carry at leisure. I.e., never to to the second floor without a box for the third, but put your attention on filling the boxes while you have uninterrupted think time....See MoreI found my perfect red, somewhere I never thought I would...
Comments (21)modar - I painted my dining room in my last home dark burgundy! Deep, dark red, not purple-ish. My DH thought I was nuts, be he did his best to keep his mouth shut, and he ended up loving it! It was a small room, and I think the color warmed up the space and made it feel cozy and rich at the same time. We got lots of compliments. I chose Georgian Brick for this house because I was trying to coordinate with my brick fireplace and brick floors in another room. I love the color! Good luck with your choices, bloomin......See More- 5 years ago
