Could have been racoons (fighting). I once heard them fighting near my tree stand while sitting in the dark waiting for the sun to come up. If you have a pond they were probably hunting crayfish.

It is really a shame that your dog has to suffer the consequence of a nosy neighbor. Really, do they have nothing else to do in life? Our upstairs neighbors have two cats that are Manx and they are HUGE. They rip around the apt, 1400sq feet that is a straight shot! They love it. We can hear them about twice a day, tearing after each other, thudding across the whole unit but we laugh about it, you can hear their paws hitting the floor. They are helpless animals and we have better things to do. I have never heard the people above me and in fact they asked us if their cats bothered us and we said no way, we have a large dog and she barks when someone comes to the door so we all have to give and take. I would let your dog live his life. If you have an agreement with your LL that you can have a dog and as long as he isn't barking 24/7, then ignore this person and just live your life. If you start pacifying this person with each little whim they get, you most likely will never hear the end of things. If they know up front that you will not play such a petty game perhaps they will back off. Good luck

I don't like a round cutting board because anything you are chopping falls off of it so easily. Since you said you already have cutting boards, and this one is cracking, and brown stuff is coming off of it, I would "de-clutter" and dispose of it. If your husband would be upset at this, surprise him with a lovely new (rectangular) cutting board. I'll link to an article from America's Test Kitchen in which they recommend the Proteak 18 x 24 Edge Grain Teak Cutting Board (though I haven't tried it myself; I keep using my ancient no-name one). Here is a link that might be useful: Article Called The Best Cutting Board We've Tested

>Don't you think that the crowd will boo the Rays when they get to Philly??You can bet your house on it!!! How am I so sure? I live here (there). By the way, I don't have a bit of a problem with an out of town team being booed on the road and I'm sure the players don't either. It's expected and it's not mean spirited by the majority of the fans. It's really an extension of cheering for your own team. Phillies = good their opponent, Rays in this case = bad It would be the same if the Phils were playing the Red Sox, Dodgers, Yankees or Mormon Tabernacle Choir. SB80 (1 down, 3 to go)
