Please pray for daughter - lost home in OKC conflagration
Comments (10)Hi Kathi, I am so very sorry to hear of your daughter's family's loss of their home and belongings. I simply can't imagine what any of us can say to comfort her except that they are alive and well and, eventually, can replace all the "stuff". I know people always say "it is just stuff" but....I think it is easy for us to say that when it is not "our" stuff, and I imagine it is a lot harder to say it and mean it when it is "your" stuff. I would imagine it is a very hard loss to bear. I also hope they will cling to all their memories of the times they shared in their home.....and will remember that wherever they live, wherever they rebuild, they will make many new happy memories as well. I hope and pray that she and her family will find that the love of their family members and friends and their faith in a Supreme Being will carry them through this difficult period in their lives. If it helps them to know that a "stranger" is praying for them, then tell them that I am. I do hope she will come to next Saturday's event with you. I can promise we will shower her with love and well wishes and try to help her forget her sorrows for a few brief hours. Maybe when she rebuilds, we can have a special "plant party" and all bring her plants from our gardens to plant in her "new yard". At times like this, I think you truly discover the strength within you, and I imagine she and her family already have begun to discover how strong and resilient they are. I know that you will be their rock and help them through this difficult time because that is what moms do. : ) Much love, hugs and prayers to all of you. Please let us know if there is anything more we can do to help her. Dawn...See MorePlease pray for my brother
Comments (67)Jolana, he has always been a dominant male. Especially since he was convinced, by Mother, that he could walk on water. About 5 years ago he, his wife and I took my motor home to CA and back. He made all the trip plans and stops. He had never driven an RV before. After he jumped me for about the 3rd time for not doing something his way or when he told me. I jumped in with both feet and ate him up one side and down the other. I told him he was not my employer nor my husband and not to tell me what to do. He started to say something and I said and "don't interupt me either" I told him for all I cared, he could walk home. I thought his eyes would fall out. No woman had ever "talked" to him like that. My SIL was bug eyed too. LOL We really are close, I think I just took him so by surprise. I think he is "skeered" of me now....See MorePlease pray for my friends father
Comments (12)He made it through the surgery but doctors found more heart damage than they expected and his platelets aren't doing something right. They said he is not out of the woods yet so hopefully he will be stronger in the coming days. Please keep praying. The surgery lasted about 7 hours as they ran into some kind of complications....See MorePlease pray for my niece
