What paint color flows with Sherwin Williams Passive?

We painted our living room and hallway walls Sherwin Williams "Passive" and I love the color it's beautiful it makes our house look bigger and brighter. But, now we are stuck...we have to finish painting out kitchen. We want a color that flows/looks good with the color Passive but we can't seem to find the right color. Our kitchen is small so we want a nice color to make it look bigger and bright yet goes well with Passive. Our cabinets are extra white with stainless steel appliances. I really appreciate your ideas! Thank you and Happy Holidays!

I too would continue with what you have. Or at the most, same color one shade lighter or darker.

you want us to recommend a paint color for a kitchen we can't see, based only on a picture of a paint chip?

u want a color to make it look bigger? would be nice if we could actually see what you're talking about. Otherwise, just go to SW site, plug in passive, and look at the complementary colors it gives you.

Take a look at SW Repose Gray, Mindful Gray and Dorian Gray. They are in the greige family but have a hint of green. With your honey oak cabinets and green countertops I think you would like any of them. The Repose is lightest. We have used it in two bedrooms, a hall and home office. It works great with gray carpet, wood trim and white trim. Good luck and let us know what you decide and for sure show us before and after pics!

Yes I did and while it is beautiful I do have to “baby” it! I have 4 marble look cutting boards on it to handle all cutting and hot pans. Tea stains are the most challenging to get up so if anyone says it doesn’t stain that hasn’t been my experience.

First, any decent breakfast sandwich can get an account at Sherwin Williams and get a discount, so there is that. Since it is rental property, welcome to the property maintenance business, just name your company and fill out the app. Next, the paint at Lowes used to be SW paint, but it is my understanding that when SW bought out Valspar they actually just rebranded the Valspar paint as the SW HGTV line. So far as I know, the Duration line is not sold in Lowes and it is an excellent exterior paint. While the list price on the Duration paint is around $90 per gallon, it is pretty easy to get it for less than $70 per gallon with an account.

In a smaller home it Is a good idea to just continue the same color throughout...otherwise a very subtle change in color is fine that is why it is best to go with suggested SW complimentary colors..they are still light and will keep the same calm light and bright feel.

Thank you everyone. I will try to upload a picture shortly. I would love the same color but I don't want my house to look the same. I wanted an accent color but then again I know that if I go with a dark blue it will make my kitchen smaller and i dont want it to look all dark.
