Could you help me decide which green to go with bedding!
Comments (38)I really like the greens and think I would go with the lighter green. You've really got me rethinking my girls' room now too. I used light pink and have Pottery Barn bedding with big pink cabbage roses -- one with a pale yellow background and one with a pale blue. I was using dark pink accents. I think your green idea would be wonderful in my girls' bedroom too -- can I steal it?? ;) Oh, I have 4 year old twin girls as well. Are yours identical or fraternal? I have a blonde and a brunette. Comments (18)I think the bedding would be gorgeous with that rug if you take the bedding for a neutral. Now cross your eyes and see the solid neutral color in the bedding. Purchase your bedding and let the rug be the item that sets the stage for accent colors for in room. Beiges, khakis, sortagolds, taupes, blacks and neutrals can become wonderful room accents for your "now neutral" bedding. Oh, by the way, grab a couple pillows in a satin like fabric near or exactly the color of your background bedding color and take a piece of the bedding to the paint store and work your wall magic to pull it together....See MoreDecorating help - Rug, art, bedding? Comments (3)Thank you Yayagal. Here's my floor plan. Oh! The pic came out so small! The room is a rectangle with a wall of windows opposite the bed. Dimension are 17" x 14". Outside the wall of windows is a covered deck, so not much natural light. The ceiling is high and not vaulted, but it has angles (1989 built). Here's a pic of the room now (before new furniture/paint/etc.). I was moving things around, taping where I'd want things to go so it's a mess and not normally this crazy looking. The bed will be going in between the window, as it's laid out in the pic above. Sorry, I can't turn the pic around?! Also, big cat tree was moved out :) So embarrassing! New off white wood blinds (like these) have been ordered. I love rich colors, like navy blue, deep burgundy red, gold-green (like a gold-moss color?). My furniture had brushed nickel hardware but I'm going to also had some bronze accents here and there. I don't want it to be matchy-matchy. And my husband has to like it too. Can't be too girly. My only thought was light grey bedding with color accents. I have a few inspiration photos on my home computer I'll post tonight....See MoreWhat rug would go with bedding?
Comments (8)A natural colored rug will look nice. You can add some natural colored pillows to your bedding to help tie everything together....See MoreJ J
