what’s the best way to ventilate a garage?
Comments (5)Broan makes number of through-the-wall exhaust fans that would probably work for your garage. Sizing kind of depends on how big your garage is and how fast you want to change the air. There's a calculator here. Remember you need make-up air, so you'll have to leave the garage door ajar or something. As someone suggested installing it with a timer would be a good idea....See MoreWall color paint on popcorn ceiling. Help
Comments (2)You could just repaint the ceiling ... or get the popcorn removed and then repaint it. Be aware that popcorn ceilings can contain asbestos; the stuff is harmless unless disturbed, but if the popcorn is going to be removed, you'd want to have it tested to assure proper, safe removal....See MoreI messed up and drilled wrong holes in cabinet!
Comments (20)Is there a filler strip that overlaps in a corner that you could pull, remove some material, and reinstall without it being seen? You'd have perfect veneer/stain match. You can't just use a dowel; the grain is running the wrong way. The plug would be a pain to make, but that's going to be the most inconspicuous repair....See MoreWhat’s the best way to move the drain pipe up 3”?
Comments (3)Terrible advice. Usually the water lines are run as shown to avoid putting them into an external wall - this is a freeze protection action! You can either cut the water supplies above the floor and run horizontal lines to a location where the drawer bottom is not an issue and access to the sink faucets are available. One issue, if your new vanity is on legs this piping may be visible from the bathroom. If so, pull up some of the sub floor and run the water lines as described above underneath the sub floor. Someone else can likely help with respect to moving the two drains up - I'm not sure about cutting three additional holes in the three studs....See MoreUser
