You get to a Ben Moore paint store. You buy a quart, and paint a nice big heavy duty mat board. Then you go quartz shopping with that IN YOUR HAND. You borrow the nice big samples in a few that seem to work, and take them HOME to view in your space, with your floor and all in your kitchen in your light . THAT is what a pro does :) PS......... you can do better than this, which seems too warm for Van Deusen

Comments (37)Thanks again for the additional comments and suggestions! We already have the oven - it's a GE single/double model that my DH fell in love with and grabbed on major floor model sale. To be honest, it would not have been my first choice aesthetically, but he's the primary cook M-F and this was a big thing for him. So whatever we do, that oven has to work. mtnrdredux, I'm surprised at how much I like the turquoise - definitely going to get samples in that range and try them out! sophie123, your kitchen sounds beautiful! Dunsmore cream is a lovely shade, I can see that going well with the marine blue. Thanks for the heads-up about the paint. It's funny, I noticed that the marine blue was a little different to work with just when I was painting cardboard samples. I guess I'd call it a little streakier. Comments (19)I know you want wood floors, and it's exciting to go from vinyl to real wood. Can I ask you to skip a beat and take a look at wood finishes that are less yellow/golden/orange and look at finishes that are more greyed or reddish next to your espresso cabinets? Or even better, consider stone or stone-look porcelain tile flooring with radiant heating underneath. If you still want to go with the casual look of lighter floors and dark espresso cabinets, that's your business. I only mention it because you seem to be taking the safe route of light wood floors and quartz countertops, although those work better with white cabinets. I just want to make sure someone points out that your espresso cabinets offer the potential for a much more elegant look....See More
