Copper Sink + Chrome Fixtures? What would you do?
Comments (5)I am not a big fan of matchy matchy any way. I read a design article that says "wood goes with wood and metal goes with metal" I have seen many examples of rooms that mix metals between light fixtures and faucets and other elements. I bet most people that walk into your kitchen won't even notice it. They will just be wowed by your gorgeous counters and copper sink....See Moreis it ok to mix light fixture metals?

Comments (2)The first two lights we ordered in brushed nickel, and those are the ones backordered. The last one we already received and my husband already installed bc he’s antsy, so can’t really return....we want something like the first two but can’t seem to find it in nickel. I’ve found similar items in matte black and antique leaf silver. Were in the process of redoing our kitchen, so we are changing everything out from ORB to brushed or satin nickel...See MoreMixing metals - Kitchen lighting, fixtures, & hardware vs. doorknobs
Comments (13)Thanks, everyone! Copper would definitely be a great complement to the oil rubbed bronze, but unfortunately, it's not one of our "builder grade" options. I also love polished nickel - it has a warmer tone that would probably complement ORB better, but it's pricier and more difficult to coordinate with our options throughout the home. I do agree that black and oil rubbed bronze can work together - in fact, our front door is a black metal double door with oil rubbed bronze edging. I do have some brushed gold decor items/accents that I will incorporate (i.e. an etagere, end tables, etc.), but I think we are still limited to some combination of ORB/brushed nickel or ORB/chrome for our kitchen faucet, cabinet hardware, and lighting. So which of those is better? Brushed nickel or chrome?...See MoreJ D
