Copper Sink + Chrome Fixtures? What would you do?

Our soon-to-be built kitchen will have white shaker cabinets and our existing white appliances, with light oak hardwood floors.

I've decided I want green marble (serpentine) counters - we have laminate that mimics green marble now, and so everything we have already matches it and I like it, even if it's out of style.

So I bought a copper apron-front sink from Home Depot that I think will look fabulous with dark green counters...only to realize that I have also bought chrome-accented pendants on sale at Restoration Hardware.

The rest of the house is a mix of the original 1941 aged brass hardware and brushed nickel.

What should I do about the lights? As irrational as it is, I hate to return them because I got a really great deal ($79 each, now back to $239). The pendants will not be over the sink, they will be over the center island/table.

I also like a chrome faucet from Chicago Faucets, which of course does not make faucets in other colors.

I am not a big fan of matchy matchy any way. I read a design article that says "wood goes with wood and metal goes with metal" I have seen many examples of rooms that mix metals between light fixtures and faucets and other elements. I bet most people that walk into your kitchen won't even notice it. They will just be wowed by your gorgeous counters and copper sink.

Personally I think I mini backsplash over a pedestal sink would look strange. The only way I think it would work would be in the case of tile, where you did it around the room as a wainscotting kind of application, which then went a little higher than the sink to act as a backsplash. Just my opinion though. I say do what you like! You're the only one who needs to love it.

I've got to say pps7 I was so excited when I came across the pictures of your bathroom a few months ago! It was very similar to what we were looking to do for our main bathroom with the AO Catarina tile, white wainscoting, dark furniture style vanities, and soft blue green walls. It was awesome to see it all put together and have it turn out so good! You did a great job! Our bathroom is smaller and only has a shower/tub combo so I hope we can get the same look in our scaled down version.

I think crazy fits me right now, lol. All this obsessing over details, that, like you said no one else will even care about.;-) I love ORB hardware and fixtures, and I like some ORB faucets too but am fairly particular about the finish on them. I love the stainless finish on the Danze but haven't seen the ORB irl to know if I'd like it as much, so I'm a little nervous to go that route. I'm sure any of it will be fine, and I just need to pick one and move on to the next detail. Thanks for the feedback on my kitchen. I am so excited to see it coming together and am grateful to you and all the others that helped so much in the early stages.:-) Beschenbach - The hardware is Amerock French Country. I have samples on the way from Knobs4less.com, and I'm hoping I like it as it's very inexpensive. I also found those and some others similar to it on Myknobs.com for great prices if you haven't tried that already.

Would you install a Chrome potfiller into a SS backsplash?

A chrome porfiller may not look bad if it is hidden under a shelf most of the time, but depending on what you get, may bee shinier than you'd like. The Danze Opulence stainless potfiller can be purchased online for about $230 or less. The pendants will be fine. The faucet, not so much. You need unlacquered brass or brushed bronze for it. Something not silver. But not OrB. It's too fakey for a classic ecclectic look.
